That's a wrap on Match 26 of TNPL 2023. We will be back with more TNPL action tomorrow and for all other cricketing actions across the globe and formats, stay tuned to our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Baba Indrajith (Dindigul Dragons Captain): "It was really an important match. Cannot take things lightly by saying we have qualified. If you end in the Top 2, there will be momentum and also a little extra cushion.

At the beginning of the tournament, everyone said the bowling attack is good. Youngsters in the batting order have stepped up and we have seen a different player come up in each match.

We wanted to take some time inside the powerplay. If they bowled poor deliveries, the boundaries could still come. If you look at my batting, I went for lofted shots only in the last 2-3 overs."
Abhishek Tanwar (Salem Spartans): "I though we were 20 runs short. The wind factor played a part. I think 180 was the par score on this wicket. 100 per cent - Yes the breeze was stronger today than the other days and the wicket was good so it played a big role. (Reflection on the season) I feel our batting order was not settled and we couldn't win too many games. But we got it correct in the last few matches and will stick to the same next year. We have a lot of youngsters too so I'm sure they will come up and gel well. If you  look at the positives- Sunny Sandhu, Sachin Rathi, and Selva are up there."

Vimal Khumar: "Yeah we are confident that we would get it. We are hoping we should do it. The experience that he gets to tell is amazing. So he tells me what to do and what not in every situation. We are not worried about who the opposition is. We will just stick to the process. Thank You."
10:34 PM IST: A clinical chase from Dindigul Dragons as they have aced the chase to win by 7 wickets. Skipper Baba Indrajith has led from the front today and powered his side to the victory by finishing things off in style. The Dragons are through to the playoffs and will play Qualifier 1.

Chasing a competitive 161 for the win, Dindigul Dragons lost their impact player Shivam Singh for a low score. Vimal Khumar scored a good 42 off 36 balls. But it was Baba Indrajith who led from the front with his unbeaten 83* off 50 balls and hit the winning runs. Adithya Ganesh scored 19 off 13 balls. Kumar remained unbeaten in the end. It was all about Indrajith today.

A couple of wickets for Sunny Sandhu for the Spartans while the other wicket was a run-out. The rest of the bowlers went wicketless as they had no answer to the magic of Baba Indrajith.

Earlier in the game, Spartans got starts but never got going in the death overs. Aravind scored 26 off 25 balls. Kavin looked good for his 25 off 9 balls before being run-out. Sunny Sandhu looked good for his 57 off 39 balls. Hariharan scored 21 off 23 balls. Adnan Khan remained unbeaten on 10 off 7 balls. The Spartans scored 160/6 in 20 overs.

Varun Chakravarthy was the pick of the bowlers for the Dindigul Dragons with figures of 2/17 in 4 overs. A couple of wickets for Subodh Bhati. A wicket for Kishoor as well. All in all, a great day for the Dragons.

So, Dindigul Dragons win this game by 7 wickets to book their place in Qualifier 1. Stick around for the presentation ceremony.
18.2 S Sandhu to B Indrajith
4 FOURRR!!! No one is safe when Indrajith is in sheer form. Neither the bowlers nor the umpires. Full and at the woods. Indrajith watches it arrive in the slot and smashes over the head of the umpire who tries to move from the trajectory of the ricocheting cork. He just tonks it aerial down the ground, straight as an arrow for a four. What a win for the Dragons and the skipper leads the chase with some marks off his bat.
18.1 S Sandhu to B Indrajith
6 MAXIMUUUMMM!! 👏🏼 Tries the leg cutter and gets belted away from the skipper of Dindigul. Length delivery, at the middle and leg stick. Indrajith waits for this one as it dies down at the point of contact. Sheer strength from Indrajith as he opens up and heaves this over the ropes between deep mid wicket and deep square leg.
Skipper Baba Indrajith has taken the game away from the Spartans. Dragons now need 8 off 12 balls.

17.6 A Tanwar to B Indrajith
1 Pitched up again this time at the off stump line. Indrajith manages to bunt it towards long off with the cue end of the bat.
17.5 A Tanwar to B Indrajith
6 SIXXXX!! Take that!!🔥 Full-toss and near the fourth-fifth stump. Indrajith shuffles across the line and helps the ball maroon over the ropes through the fine leg region. He came into a lovely position and scooped it brilliantly. It's not just the traditional shots, Indrajith has mastered the fancy works as well.
