So, that’s all the action from the three-match ODI series between Australia Women and Ireland Women. A comprehensive performance from the visitors has helped them clinch the series 2-0. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. For now, this is Megh Mandaliya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside our scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Cheers!
Mary Waldron (Retired from Ireland Women cricket team after playing 56 ODIs and 88 T20Is.): "They could have easily shipped me home having that injury. So huge thanks to them for making that happen, so that I could stay around the group.

So to be able to play the world Champions and be on the same pitches, the inspirational women who have really driven the sport forward for everybody, including ourselves, yes, it's been a super special and I did say earlier, talking to the girls, it's nearly good I'm not playing. I've had so many conversations today, it's almost like I've been snowed under with chatting to everyone. But actually, it's been a brilliant day, and thank you, everybody, for your support.

A highlight, certainly with Kim, it was when one of the Chinese batters hit her for six straight down the ground. And Laura Delaney, I always thank her in any speech because she's qualified us for many a World Cup, always bowls or bats in the clutch moments. And I remember here, Iizzy, you were there as well, scored 50, I think, in the game. She bowled the last over against the Netherlands in YM to qualify us for our first-ever Women's T 20 World Cup. And that was such a special day. So that's a highlight for me for sure.

Yeah, I guess so. I think it's not a natural thing that we like to think about or say that we're proud of, but I think so. And even Miriam Grealey came up to say congratulations and I'd done a super job and stuff, like know, without the likes of yourselves and Miriam and Susan Bray and Stella and all the past players that are here today, without what you guys did, I couldn't do what I did. So I think it's only the rightful duty that I left the shirt in a better place and I'm so excited to see what these girls go on and do."

Tahlia McGrath (Australia Women Captain): "Yeah, really pleased today. We put up a really good performance. Phoebe and Annabel delivered today. We talked about a few match-ups before the game but you can't really plan too much. Sometimes you have to follow the gut feeling. Yeah, it's been a long tour. So, get home, rest, and then we have a big summer of cricket coming up."
Laura Delany (Ireland Women Captain): "Yeah, I thought we started off well, put in a good batting innings, but obviously we were below par in the fielding innings with our own performance, which I think is most disappointing. But I thought we did create a couple of chances. We put them down, but, yeah, there's definitely a lot to work on ahead of our next series."
Ashleigh Gardner (Player of the Series): "Yeah, I had found that consistency that I was searching for a long time. I think I also took some confidence from the Ashes. I am having different plans around now. It's been nice. I am sure there are plenty of other players who could have won this award. We have played a lot of golf while we were here. That was probably the most I had done. We have a few weeks off but there is still time to talk through what to do next. We have a tour against West Indies now. We will be back in these colors before we know it."
Phoebe Litchfield (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it means a lot. I think we spoke about trying to have a better start up top and have been pretty dry in the runs column. Yeah, I think it was just sort of being patient. The wicket wasn't probably what we thought in the first innings and it was actually quite tough. And the other opener bowled really well and we probably sort of just weren't patient enough, so I tried to just have a bit more patience in these innings and get myself in.

Yeah, it was awesome to be out there with her, and we sort of did the whole innings together, so for us to both bring up the three figures was extra special."

Mary Waldron, who recently announced her retirement from international cricket, was given a guard of honor by both Ireland and Australia women's cricket teams. An emotional moment for the 39-year-old Irish cricketer. After playing for Ireland Women for 13 years, she has decided to hang up her boots.
9:08 PM IST, 4:38 PM Local Time | That will do it for Australia! A masterful batting display by Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland has helped them seal the three-match series 2-0. This has been another complete performance from the number one ODI-ranked side despite the absence of their experienced campaigners. On the flip side, it was a simply erratic performance from the Irish bowling unit. They tried all sorts of things but could not break the resistance of both the openers. Australia have defeated Ireland by 10 wickets in the final ODI of the series.

Chasing a slightly below-par score of 218, Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland shepherded Australia to a dazzling start and flattened the slim chance Ireland had. The left-handed Litchfield was the primary aggressor in the partnership while Sutherland played the second fiddle to her and kept knocking the ball around. The Irish pacers also gifted a lot of freebies to the Australian openers and they latched onto everything. Litchfield made the most of the overpitched deliveries on offer and kept toying with the off-side field.

There was some uneven bounce on this surface but both the young guns looked in total control of the play. The belligerent approach by Litchfield and Sutherland propelled Ireland to 59/0 at the end of the powerplay. Ireland were lethargic in the field as a few opportunities went begging in the middle overs. The opening pair kept on piling the runs with low-risked cricket. Both Litchfield 106*(114) and Sutherland 109*(101)amassed their respective maiden centuries in ODIs and remained unscathed to steer Australia to a famous 10-wicket victory.

Earlier in the day, after being invited to bat first, Gaby Lewis propelled the Irish Women to a cracking start by thumping Kim Garth for two consecutive boundaries in the second over. Leah Paul 3(4) failed to follow Gaby’s footsteps and got out hit-wicket. The in-form Amy Hunter 9(7) played a couple of confident strokes before she was enticed in playing a drive and the right-hander edged one to the keeper. Orla Prendergast then paired up with Lewis to negotiate a crucial period in the first powerplay and absorbed the pressure.

Lewis and Prendergast added 66 runs for the 3rd wicket before Georgia Wareham broke the partnership by trapping Lewis 35(65) lbw. Another partnership started flourishing for Ireland as skipper Laura Delany joined forces with Prendergast to stitch a much-needed partnership of 71 runs for the 4th wicket. Delany attained some streaky boundaries and kept the scorecard ticking briskly. However, her progress was halted by Ashleigh Gardner in the 37th over.

Prendergast batted with calculated aggression and registered her maiden half-century in ODIs before she holed out at 71(109). The spinners bowled in tandem after the departure of Prendergast and they were able to stem the flow of runs. The pressure kept building on the Irish batters and they lost a cluster of wickets at the backend to give Australia the whip hand in the contest. Rebecca Stokell played a valiant knock of 27*(38) and cruised the host past the 200-run mark. Kim Garth was brilliant with the slower deliveries and bagged three crucial wickets while Ashleigh Gardner decided to take the pace on and ripped through the Irish lower order. Stick around for the post-match presentation!
