That’s a wrap from our side as well. We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Scorer/Analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Sana Mir (Sapphires Women Captain): "Absolutely. We wanted our batters to play with freedom and the format allowed us. A good toss to lose. The plan was to attack the first few overs and we wanted to get the bonus point as well. We want to play with freedom in the upcoming games. I am happy with the all-round performance of the team and hope to carry it forward. Thank You very much."
Sune Luus (Tornadoes Women Captain): "We simply used the same team. Sadly, our captain was unable to participate in today's game. She might be able to participate in the upcoming match and boost our performance. We are unable to operate effectively. We were more reliable and the circumstances were different last year. There are still two games available. So let's hope we can end on a high note."
Natasha Farrant (Player of the Match): "Yes sure. That's what our coach and captain said play with freedom and played my shots. Got a tad lucky. The plan was to bowl well. Shabnim and Katherine started well and they were under pressure. I tried to keep it tight and worked on the angles that we had to work with."
Time for the presentation ceremony.
10:30 AM IST | Deepak: Sapphires Women clinched a comprehensive victory over the defending champions Tornadoes Women in a rain-curtailed 7-over game, marking their first win of the season. Their impressive performance saw them triumph by a massive margin of 36 runs. On the other hand, the Tornadoes Women are yet to open their winning account.

Let's have a quick recap of this rain-curtailed 7-over game! The Sapphires Women made a blazing start to their innings after being invited to bat first in a rain-curtailed 7-over game. Led by the dynamic duo of Katherine Brunt and Tash Farrant, the Sapphires smashed an incredible 95 runs in just 7 overs, leaving the Tornadoes Women stunned. Brunt and Farrant batted with great aggression and skill, remaining unbeaten until the end and scoring 35 and 36 runs respectively, in just 16 and 18 balls. Despite their best efforts, the Tornadoes Women were unable to contain the Sapphires' batting onslaught, with Diana Baig being the only bowler to claim a couple of wickets. It was an explosive batting display by the Sapphires Women, who set a daunting target for the Tornadoes Women to chase.

The Tornadoes Women got off to a rocky start in their chase of the Sapphires' imposing target of 95 runs. They lost both their openers, Dane van Niekerk and Sterre Kalis, in the second over of the innings, with Katherine Brunt claiming both wickets. The Tornadoes Women were in dire need of a solid partnership to recover from the early loss of their openers. However, their hopes were dashed as Natasha Farrant delivered a devastating blow by dismissing the key player, Sune Luus. The right-arm bowler wreaked havoc on the Tornadoes Women, leaving them in a precarious position. Wickets kept tumbling for the Tornadoes Women, and they were restricted to 59/5 in the 7 overs.

From the bowling front, Tash Farrant was the pick of the bowlers for Sapphires as she bagged three crucial wickets, while Katherine Brunt chipped in with a couple of wickets.
