Milestone
That's it from the coverage of this game. This is Vikhyat Jain, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Saipavan and our scorer, Chandan Kumar Singh. Until next time, Tada!!
Lancashire was right at the top all the way in this chase until the last few overs where the Surrey bowlers stood up and executed their plans brilliantly in the death o curtail the Lancashire batters. With 47 runs required off the last four overs and seven wickets in hands, Lancashire would have fancied chasing this down.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Surrey started off slowly but Evans made up for it with his demolishing knock of 70 off just 41 balls. Following him was Jason Roy's blitzkrieg of 50 runs. Overton provided the finishing touches. The Lancashire bowlers did not look at their very best as they struggled to tighten the screw on the leaking runs. Although a last few good overs ensured that Surrey did not cross over 200 runs.

The chase for Lancashire started off with one step on the accelerator. After losing Salt early on, Buttler and Croft took the attack on the Surrey bowlers until the former departed on the score of 42. Croft continued the assault and scored a brilliant half-century and took his team closer to the target. But in the end game, Lancashire were deprived of the much-needed big hits resulting in their fall in this game. Credit goes to Jordan for that penultimate over that put Surrey in the driver's seat. In the end, a bit too much of the heavy lifting was left for Mitchell to do. A high-voltage game that went to the last over was all the fans yearned for in this knockout game.

19.6 Abbott to D Mitchell
1 In the blockhole and only a single in the end to the long on and the Surrey camp celebrates after all this has been some good bowling in the death from them.
19.5 Abbott to R Jones
1 Full and wide, Jones drives it to long off for a single
And it's all done, Abbott need to bowl two legal deliveries.
19.4 Abbott to D Mitchell
1 Full-toss outside off, Mitchell was standing there only this time but gets only a single to the covers this time
Will Mitchell hit three sixes in last 3 balls?
19.3 Abbott to D Mitchell
0 This might well be the game for Surrey. Another perfectly executed wide yorker and Mitchell fails to put any bat to it once again
17 needed off the last 4 balls.
19.2 Abbott to D Mitchell
0 DOT BALL! Crucial one. Full and outside off, Mitchell was looking to drag it from the off side and heave it to the on-side but missed it by day-and-night
19.2 Abbott to D Mitchell
WD Full and wide, perhaps a little too wide for it to be a wide ball
19.1 Abbott to R Jones
1 Jones did the right thing to bring Mitchell back to the strike. Full ball outside off, Jones pushes it toward covers for a single
Lancashire require 19 runs off last 6 balls.

18.5 C Jordan to D Vilas
W What an over this is turning out to be for Surrey and could well be the match-winning one as well. A low full-toss and Vilas sits under it to scoop it over the deep fine leg region but Sam Curran was positioned there exactly for this shot and Vilas falls for it
