02:10 AM IST:- That's it from all of us for this game. Do join us tomorrow for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer Ashok Dayma. Cheers and good night.
Dan Lawrence(Essex):- "I felt it was a sticky surface but we got enough runs to defend. But this is one off night where things doesn't go in your way. We still have three games left and a good start tomorrow will be massive for us. I think 7 wins out of 11 is incredible performance."
02:06 AM IST, 09:36 PM Local Time: That’s it. A comprehensive victory for Kent as they beat Essex by seven wickets. Kent had an uphill task of chasing 185 but a solid partnership between Daniel Bell-Drummond and Joe Denly for the second wicket helped them ace the chase with 10 balls to spare.

Chasing 184, Kent lost Tawanda Muyeye in the third over on 12. Daniel Bell-Drummond was joined by Joe Denly who came out all guns blazing and took on the Essex attack from the word go. He played some amazing strokes and scored at a brisk rate. Bell-Drummond played the role of a second fiddle perfectly as Denly brought up his fifty in no time.

Both Denly and Bell-Drummond didn’t allow Essex’s bowlers to settle in. Denly hit six fours and as many maximums before departing on a 32-ball 76 as the 110-run stand came to an end. Bell-Drummond brought up his fifth fifty of this season off 35 balls. Billings departed on 13 but Bell-Drummond remained unbeaten on 69 off 49 balls to take his side across the line in the penultimate over.

After being put in to bat first, Essex didn’t have the best of starts with the bat. They lost three wickets for a score of 55 at the end of the powerplay. Daniel Lawrence was going strong from one end but lacked support from the other end. They were struggling at 64/4 before Matthew Critchley joined Lawrence. Both played some wonderful strokes and stitched a 57-run partnership between them before Critchley fell on 31.

Lawrence played a brilliant knock and brought up his fifty. He fell on 52 off 36 balls in the 15th over. The foundation was laid for a strong finish and William Buttlerman (31 off 15 balls) and Simon Harmer (22 off 11 balls) hit some lusty blows in the end to power Essex to 184. Wes Agar, George Linde, Michael Hogan and Grant Stewart picked up two wickets each for Kent.
18.2 P Walter to J Cox
6 Cox finishes off in style and Kent completes a dominating win over Essex! Short ball, angling to middle and Cox, who was shifted to his leg side swung his bat and got a huge leading edge that eventually went over the boundary of the fine leg region.
18.1 P Walter to J Cox
4 Scores are equal! Length ball, on middle targeting the body and Cox easily guides this through fine leg for a boundary.
Kent require 5 runs from 12 balls.
