In the end, Worcestershire managed to win this game after a slight hiccup in the middle overs. Hose and Pollock ensured that there was no more falter in the chase and took their team over the line with 9 balls and 5 wickets to spare. Quite a convincing win in the end for them.
Everything went right for Worcestershire right from the toss apart from a minor scare in the middle overs during their chae when they lost a few wickets in a flurry. Winning the toss and bowling first, the bowlers proved their captain's decision correct as they stifled the Nottinghamshire batters to a mere 139 runs. It was a collective team effort but the spinners in particular shone for Worcestershire. But Hose and Pollock took the matter into their hands and saw their team through the finishing line. With this win, Worcestershire dethrone Nottinghamshire from the second spot to take their place.
