Player Bio

One of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball, Ed Pollock is a professional English cricketer who is predominantly more suited to the limited-overs format. A left-handed batter, he is more than capable of blasting the ball to all parts of the ground.

Ed’s talent was nurtured and developed at the much-respected Worcestershire Academy. In 2016, Ed signed an academy development contract with Warwickshire, and the next year he made his T20 debut for the Birmingham Bears. In his first T20 match vs. Derbyshire, Ed replaced the out-of-form Ian Bell. Opening the batting, Pollock blasted 66 in 40 balls and won the match for his team and much importantly he revived an ageing Warwickshire team.

During the 2017 season, Ed’s contribution with the bat helped the Bears reach the final of the NatwestT20 Blast which saw him cement his position as a top-order batsman in the squad. The following year, Ed consolidated his position in the Warwickshire set-up in both white and red ball formats.

Ed’s appearances have come exclusively in the white-ball formats, making 17 List A outings and 34 appearances in the T20 Blast. In December 2020, Ed signed a new one-year deal with Warwickshire which covers all formats and takes his spell as a pro at Edgbaston into the sixth season.
