That's it from a stellar game of Indian Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide, Hitesh Peddurwar and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Suryakumar Yadav (POTM): "Can say that its my best T20 innings because whenever I get runs I want the team to win. We were batting first and we discussed that we will keep the same intent like we are chasing 200 or 220+. It is one of my best knocks.

There was a lot of dew after 7-8 overs only so I knew what are my shots. A boundary was also short so I was trying to scooping and sweeping. He was bowling yorker or short of good length so I backed myself and really happy how he went over third man.

There's a lot of practice behind that. What I practice, how I practice, that is most important. I just go out and express myself."
Suryakumar Yadav is the player of the match.
Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians Skipper): " Yeah, it was an interesting game. Especially from our point of view, it was good to win the game. And in the end, the crowd got some enjoyment. That was from our perspective it was quite pleasing, to defend the total this way, not the way it ended though.

Till the 15th over we bowled well, but in the end the dew came in. It was a great effort from the bowlers. At the start of the tournament, we thought about whether we needed to go for a left and right combination, but Surya came and said NO, I want to go in. That's the kind of confidence he brings up and rubs off on the guys who are batting with him. He comes really fresh in every game, it's good for the Indian team too. It's sometimes easy to sit back and be proud of it,  but he doesn't do that he just comes fresh in every game."

Akash Madhwal (Mumbai Indians): "I have bowled in the past in the dew. So it wasn't much tough. We have practiced in these conditions and it helped me. Rohit bhaiya asked me to bowl hard lengths and it got me rewards. Surya bhaiya plays at a different level. I have bowled him in the nets but he bats incredibly. I was waiting for three years for this opportunity and I'm enjoying my time. These won't be my best figures in IPL as the best is yet to come."
Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans Skipper): "Absolutely. It felt that from our team, he turned up. Full marks to him. The way he batted and bowled on this surface was tremendous. We don't have to try much. As a group, in all the departments, we were not there. With the ball, we were flat. We didn't execute well. I feel we were 30 runs short. It says 27 but I feel we gave too many runs in the end. I think people have spoken enough about him (SKY). He is the best batter going around in the world at the moment. If you don't execute your plans while bowling against him, you are under pressure. For me, it's important for the bowler to stay clear with his plans. Picking five wickets and then conceding 129 runs in the last 10 overs was not ideal. We lacked execution while bowling. Intensity wise, were flat."
11:30 PM IST: Mumbai Indians have strengthened their position at the points table at number 3 with a brilliant win against the Gujarat Titans by 27 runs. The margin of the victory should have been higher with the game closing around 4 overs back but a tremendous unbeaten innings from Rashid Khan put the limelight on him.

Winning the toss, Gujarat Titans elected to bowl first and were hammered away in all parts of the ground as Suryakumar Yadav (103*) slammed his first IPL century getting it off the last ball of the innings with a six to take MI to 218/5, an above par score on a batting friendly Wankhede surface. Rashid Khan was the hero for GT with the ball taking 4 wickets for just 30 runs.

The start of the chase was terrible for the Titans as the top 3 comprising of Wriddhiman Saha, skipper Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill were dismissed in single figures as Akash Madhwal (3/31) and Jason Behrendorff (1/37) owned the powerplay conceding 48 runs and taking the 3 wickets.

Vijay Shankar (29 off 14) played a cameo but was dismissed by Piyush Chawla on the first ball after powerplay which was also the leg spinner's first ball in the game. Chawla also dismissed Rahul Tewatia later in the innings finishing with 2/36 and now has 19 wickets this season which is his best IPL season so far.

Abhinav Manohar also failed to impress but David Miller put up a show scoring 41 in 26 balls as wickets kept falling at the other end. He added 45 runs with Rashid Khan who made an absolute mockery of the Mumbai Indians bowling attack.

Rashid played his best T20 knock finishing unbeaten at 79 in just 32 balls and keeping GT in the game until the penultimate over. He would have finished the game had any other set batter was at the other end, a fact which was proven by the unbeaten 9th wicket partnership worth 88 runs with Alzarri Joseph who scored only 7 runs off the 81.

Rashid smashed 10 sixes and three fours playing the helicopter shot. A great knock in the first innings was witnessed as well with Suryakumar playing a similar knock for the Mumbai Indians. Kumar Kartikeya bowled a couple of batters but was taken to the cleaners as he conceded 5 sixes to finish with 2/37 in 3 overs.

Stay tuned as we bring you the post match presentation.
