Player Bio

Born in Kuwasi, Uttar Pradesh, Kumar Kartikeya Singh is a left-arm spinner representing Madhya Pradesh (MP) at the state level. He bats right-handed and is known to add value with some good hitting abilities.

Kartikeya made his debut for the State team in the 2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) against Saurashtra on September 26, 2018. He scalped the wicket of Robin Uthappa on his debut game and ended with figures of 28-1 of his full quota. However, what could be embarrassing for the youngster is that he got out on a golden duck in his maiden domestic game.

In the same year, the 24-year-old made his First-Class debut against Kerala, and in the following year, he also got to represent MP in the twenty-over format.

After a five-wicket haul against Gujarat in the 2022 Ranji Trophy, the Sultanpur-born cricketer made it into the limelight. He was also impressive in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) in the same year, bagging five wickets in as many games.

Soon, Mumbai Indians (MI) fetched his services as a net bowler. Impressed by his improvement in the trajectory of spin bowling, the management trumped him into the squad as a replacement for injured Md. Arshad Khan. The UP-born cricketer would be looking forward to using this opportunity to the fullest.
