7:53 PM IST | Well that's all for today folks! Royal Challengers Bangalore with a victory once again under Virat Kohli's captaincy! A thriller of a game! Head over to our coverage of KKR vs CSK LIVE NOW!

This is Anirudh Modi, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Ninaad Dixit, along with our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav! See you on the next one!
Glenn Maxwell: "Yeah, it's a position that I don't mind coming to bat. I have done that many times playing for Australia whenever they lose two quick wickets in the powerplay. Came into the season with good form, and have a good trust in the dressing room.

With the new ball, it skidded off the surface and came nicely to the bat and needed to be proactive. As the ball became old, it became a bit tricky for the batters. You saw the chaos in the last phase of the innings. But thought that the score we put in was enough on this surface.

I thought that it was my job to finish the job for the team. Should have batted through and made sure that we end up posting a big total. If I managed to get through that ball or even took a single, I would have stayed longer and finished the innings. I think it's my job, very simple. There is a big gap in the batting line-up which I have to take the responsibility to fill. Overall, happy with the win."
Player of the Match: Glenn Maxwell
Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain): "To be honest we had this discussion at the toss, the pitch looked dry. The important thing was, we had 10 overs under the lights and if we hit the right lines they could not get it away but with the impact player rule the game is different and we are very happy we could win it.

I was saying to Harshal upstairs because I think this counter-attack was better than the Chennai Game. The way Maxi came out and batted was amazing, to take the game away in just 4 overs, and then Faf joined in too, it was an amazing partnership. We thought at one stage 160 would be enough but the way they batted, they put us in a commanding position.

Siraj's wicket of Buttler was phenomenal, he is bowling as well as I've seen over, he is leading our attack until Josh comes in next game and he has been doing a tremendous job, I'm really happy with him. Harshal bowls the tough overs, he does not have the new ball in hand, and you are going to get hit at times but he is a smart guy and for him to bowl like that and close the game was fantastic. He bowled well in the Delhi game too and once Josh is back we will have a new bowling unit."
Active Catch of the Match: Shahbaz Ahmed (Sanju Samson's catch)
Longest Six Award: Glenn Maxwell (91 Metres)
Most Fours Award: Faf du Plessis (8 Fours)
Most Valuable Asset of the Match: Glenn Maxwell

7:44 PM IST | Time for the post-match presentation ceremony...
Mohammed Siraj (Royal Challengers Bangalore and current Purple Cap Holder): "I always try to keep it simple and bowl on good length trying to swing it. I am enjoying the challenge to bowl with the new ball. The ball is coming out of the hand nicely. Purple Cap comes and goes but performing consistently is what matters the most. Only one ball has swung into Jaiswal and the others went across. Then I concentrated on scrambled seam more often. There was a bit of reverse and not east to hit those for sixes. Happy with the role of a leader of the bowling."
Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "Ahh... I think when we play in this ground anything around 12-13 runs in the final over  is gettable. It's all about momentum and usually, Hettie (Hetmyer) does it for us. Today, Jurel was brilliant and scored well. But it was a matter of a shot here and there. The selection of the number three batter depends on which team we are playing against, who is bowling and what is the situation. Whether we are chasing or setting a target. Yeah, I think with his experience Ashwin is definitely a batter to come at a pressure situation. He has done it before. He was there in a couple of matches and did well to provide some boundaries. So, he was the man at that moment. Winning and losing are the parts and parcels of the game. In IPL these come and go (on losing margins getting closer). We need to put it on the back and move in with daily routines."
7:30 PM IST | AND WITH THAT THE ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE SEAL A THRILLING VICTORY IN THE GAME! They defeat a hapless Rajasthan Royals by 7 runs to become the 6th team to achieve 8 points this season! The table becomes even tighter with this crucial victory for Kohli and his troops!

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first, they were in dreamland soon! Trent Boult showed off his powerplay bowling prowess to silence the Chinnaswamy crowd by sending King Kohli packing for a golden duck! He soon followed it up with the wicket of Shahbaz Ahmed in the 3rd over to leave RCB reeling at 12/2 at one stage.

However, Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis steadied the ship first and then went onto script one of the best partnerships in recent history! The duo stitched together a 127 run-stand, smashing half centuries on the way to take their team to a strong position at 139/2 before Yashasvi Jaiswal produced a brilliant piece of fielding to run Faf out in the 14th over!

The floodgates opened after Faf's run-out as Maxi and 5 others followed suit to end RCB's innings at 189/9 at end of the first 20 overs. Glenn Maxwell top scored for his team with 77 runs off 44 balls while Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma picked up 2 wickets each.

Come the chase, it was Mohammad Siraj's turn to show off his prowess. The Indian pacer uprooted Buttler's middle stump in the very first over to send him packing for a duck. Post that it was the Southpaw-ers who went to add 98 runs to the total in the next 11 overs to put Rajasthan in the driver's seat in the chase.

Devdutt Padikkal went onto notch up a half-century but soon after that both Padikkal and Jaiswal fell to identical dismissals as King Kohli sent both of them back with two simple catches at long on! And once again 3 others followed suit as Rajasthan could not keep up with the climbing run-rate. Harshal Patel held his nerve in the last over to claim a fantastic victory for his team!

Devdutt Padikkal was the top scorer in the chase with 52 runs off 34 balls while Harshal Patel found his mojo back to pick up 3/32 from his quota of 4 overs.

The table tightens with Bangalore's victory here and they will look to now string along a few more. They have qualified in every season they have won their Go Green Match! Will the history remain the same this season too?
