That's it from this amazing game that we brought you. It's time to get the breath back and switch tabs to the next IPL game which is already under way between SRH and PBKS. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and Akshaya Krishna Polya alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Rinku Singh (Player of the Match): "The belief was there that I can do it. Rana told me to keep believing. Umesh did well to take the single and I backed my ability. I was not thinking much. Just played to the merit of the ball. Back of the hand ball and I hit it straight down the ground for the maximum. I am chuffed and I am going to enjoy it."
Nitish Rana (KKR Captain): "Had a little bit of belief because Rinku had done it in the previous over. However we did not cross the line last year. When he hit the second six then the belief increased as Yash Dayal wasn't able to execute. It is very important to have that belief whenever you are chasing any total, especially as a captain. To be honest, you win a match out off 100 games like this.

When we were bowling we held the match in our grasp. We just bowled two bad overs in the death. Same thing happened with our batting. Rashid Khan's one over put us on the backfoot. Credit goes to Rinku Singh, the 2 points that we have got tonight are just due to his efforts.

People asked me why Rinku is the top ranked player and plays second fiddle. I would like to respond to them tonight that if this is second fiddle then imagine what would be his top performance. We saw how important player he is. In the last match he held one end and tonight if I was batting, I would have thought of hitting 30 in the final over for once but your heart knows what you are capable of. I don't have enough words to describe Rinku's innings."
Catch of the match goes to Narayan Jagadeesan.
The longest six of the match goes to Venkatesh Iyer.
Most 4s goes to Venkatesh Iyer.
Most Valuable Asset of the match goes to Venkatesh Iyer.
Game Changer of the Match goes to Venkatesh Iyer.
Electric Striker of the Match goes to Vijay Shankar.
Time for the presentations.
Rinku Singh is the player of the match.
Venkatesh Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders): "It was a great game to be a part of and I really enjoyed it. We were in control and then lost our way, but Rinku was there to save us again. The coaches tell us to chase and score 200 and we did that. These kinds of games gives us confidence and hope to ride the momentum going forward. We lost the first game due to rain and then we played well against RCB and now this game and the win will give us great confidence. Hope to carry on the good work."
Rashid Khan collects the purple cap from Venkatesh Iyer.
Rashid Khan (GT Captain): "T20 is all about entertainment. We were in the same position but on the winning side last year. It is a learning part for our team in the early part of the competition but more importantly we had a good game of cricket and hopefully the fans liked it as well.

The ball Yash bowled was the one he is more comfortable with but it just didn't work out in the middle. Its one of those days when your plans go in the opposite side. Credit to the batter the way he finished the game.

I keep it simple to hit the right areas consistently. In T20 if you miss your right length you see what happened. That's what T20 is all about, you can miss your line and lengths. As a bowler I try my best to hit the area as much as possible.

We got what we wanted as a team. We got those 200+ runs but as a bowling unit we have, I feel its enough total to defend but as I said its T20, sometimes 250 doesn't look good to defend but as a team these are things for us to learn specially the bowling department and take the positives out of this game. So early in the competition so we will learn from it and come back stronger.

It was kind of a bad day for our bowling unit. We come back stronger and stronger. It is good that we learn from it in the early part of the competition and in the next game we will try to get back stronger.

Something new happening in the T20 and it makes you keeping in the game a lot. It makes you mature, its very good for the game of cricket and lots of learning as a captain. For my future, its great for me to captain a side in the IPL. Lots of things you learn from it for the future."
Rinku Singh hit 40 runs in his last 7 balls to take KKR to a victory!
7:20 PM IST: What a game have we witnessed in IPL 2023. Rinku Singh hits 5 sixes in a row off the final over to win the game for the Kolkata Knight Riders by 3 wickets off the final ball of the innings. What a game we have had as Yash Dayal misses his length and gets tonked for sixes. KKR notches up their second win in three games while Gujarat loses their first game of the tournament.

Let's just recap this amazing game. Kolkata lost their openers early in pursuit of 205 for the win. But then it was the Venkatesh Iyer show as he scored a breath taking 83 off 40 balls. He was ably supported by Nitish Rana who scored 45 off 29 balls. They did the major job and things fell away. In came Rinku Singh who scored a magnificent 48* off 21 balls which included 31 runs off the Yash Dayal over. KKR got home off the final ball of the innings. This was some game to say the least.

Rashid Khan turned the match on its head with a hat-trick as he got three wickets. A couple of wickets for Alzarri Joseph who bowled an excellent spell of 2/27 in 4 overs. Mohammad Shami got a wicket and so did Joshua Little who went for runs. They had the match in their bags and had it stolen from them at the death.

Earlier in the game, Sai Sudharsan's half century where he scored 53 off 38 balls and a splendid knock from Vijay Shankar who scored an unbeaten 63* off 24 balls. Shubman Gill scored 39 at the top of the order as Gujarat Titans amassed 204/4 in 20 overs. Wriddhiman Saha and Abhinav Manohar ended with double figures.

Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers for Kolkata Knight Riders as he picked up 3/33 in 4 overs. Suyash Sharma got the other wicket to fall. It was a hard day for the bowlers and a brilliant day for the batters. It was a game to remember for all of us.

So, KKR wins by 3 wickets to climb upwards in the points table. Stick around for the presentations.

6 SIX RUNSSSSS!!! WHAT A GREAT FINISH TO RINKU SINGH!! 5 SIXES OFF THE FINAL 5 BALLS OF THE INNINGS TO WIN A THRILLER!!! The R in KKR stands for RINKU!! 30 runs off the final 5 balls against Yash Dayal his state teammate for UP. Dayal bowls another slower one trying to bounce Rinku outside the off stump. He stays in his crease and plays away from the body muscling another giant six playing it straight down the ground over the sightscreen! One of the greatest finishing knocks in not just the history of IPL but the history of T20 cricket! I am having goosebumps watching this!
