That's it from match number 10 of the Indian Premier League, a low scoring encounter which went Lucknow's way. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Arijit Kundu and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Krunal Pandya (Player of the Match): "Yeah!! Very good day in the office. At this level, you have to earn everything. Whether it's a dot ball or a wicket, you need to earn everything. So it was special. Yeah, having four right-handers, I knew that I was going to bowl four overs. I am in a good headspace and have a good clarity of what I need to do.

I am someone who is very process driven and don't think too much about the result. Yeah, again last four-five months, I took a break. I wanted to work on my skills, especially bowling as well. I was just playing white ball format. I was going way wider and wider again. I wanted to get a little tall on my action and get my arm ball well.

Yeah, people say that I don't spin the ball, and here is your answer. I wanted to recollect my experience in IPL. I batted at no.4 for MI for three years. I wanted to get consistent and the clarity helps. I'm okay with any track, and I wanted to dedicate this to my wife as she has been a constant support."
Player of the Match: Krunal Pandya
KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "When we saw the pitch a couple of days ago I think we knew how the pitch was gonna play. We have been here for a couple of weeks now and practiced on pitches like this so we knew what we are getting into.

We saw the first couple of overs when Jaydev bowled a few cutters, it gripped. It was a no brainer to bring in a spinner early and with 2 right handers batting, the obvious thing is to bring in a left arm spinner or a leg spinner. I know KP is better in the powerplay so I went for him.

Both were hard work. I sometimes first think as a batsman then as a captain or a leader. My first instincts looking at both the pitches was we need to bat smartly here. The bowlers will keep us in the game and win it for us. We have adapted quite well as a batting unit. Played well on both surfaces.

Just a general chat with the batters as each person plays differently and each person has to figure what works for them and there have been just a couple of chats as a batting group to see if we can help each other out and see what works on pitches like this. What is the best way to get runs, to rotate strike to get boundaries. So we have chats like that which happens every season. Its good to see that the players are going there and putting practice into game and getting results which is good for us."

Longest Six Hit in the Match: Deepak Hooda (91m)
Most Fours Hit in the Match: KL Rahul

11:03 PM IST | Time for post-match presentations...
Amit Mishra (Lucknow Super Giants): "I am feeling good. Thanks a lot, Doull (Simon Doull). I have done a lot of hard work on bowling and some bit of work on fielding as well. Happy to execute it tonight and do well for the team. I just tried to bowl them on perfect spots and kept changing my pace. I enjoyed that catch and more than me Jonty Rhodes has enjoyed it, haha. Yes, it's a black-soiled surface and hence it will keep a bit lower and will behave a bit slower as well. But it doesn't turn a lot as it does with red soil where the ball turns and bounces. I guess as the tournament progresses, the pitch will become better for batting."
Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain): "Yeah, not enough. Probably tried to look at the 150-160 mark, we would've been in the game, pretty often throughout the innings didn't get any momentum. We lost wickets and just not enough. We sort of realized that it would not be a great wicket for batting. That's what the history says as well.

We are happy to sort of fight it out and ultimately I think they bowled really well with the bowlers. And harsh that we failed to go over the line. We tried hard and fought hard, unfortunately, couldn't get going.

Ah, it's gonna be different conditions once again. I believe it's going to be a great game [against PBKS, next game]. It s going to be a new game on Sunday and the boys should start well again."
10:48 PM IST| The spinners led by Krunal Pandya and the batters led by Rahul and again Krunal Pandya make sure that the LSG bounce to the top of the points table defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad at home by 5 wickets.

Quick recap to the game as Aiden Markram opted to bat first on his comeback game skippering the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the first time. Krunal Pandya (3/18), Amit Mishra (2/23), Ravi Bishnoi (1/16) and Yash Thakur (1/23) picked up wickets and kept it tight to restrict Hyderabad for the season's lowest score of 121/8.

Bishnoi became the leading Indian bowler this season with 6 scalps to his name. Rahul Tripathi top scored with 34 with Anmolpreet Singh (31), Washington Sundar (16) and Abdul Samad (21*) reaching double figures. Samad brushed with the finishing touches hitting 2 sixes and a four in his 10 ball knock.

LSG got Ayush Badoni as the impact player replacing Mishra with Sunrisers getting Fazalhaq Farooqi in place of Tripathi. The LSG opening pair of skipper KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers provided another great start adding 24 runs in the first 2 overs chasing a modest total.

Fast bowlers Fazalhaq Farooqi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with a changed end then struck inside the powerplay removing Kyle Mayers and Deepak Hooda cheaply with the score at 45/2 at the end of the stage. Krunal Pandya, the hero with the ball started off nicely with the bat as well building a partnership with the skipper with the score at 82/2 after 10 overs.

The partnership flourished as the left-hand - right-hand combination added 55 runs bringing the 50 run partnership in 35 balls. Krunal was dismissed by Umran Malik who was introduced late in the innings. KL Rahul was the next man to depart getting out to Adil Rashid who picked up 2 wickets in 2 balls sending Romario Shepherd on a first ball duck.

Marcus Stoinis playing as a pure batter wasn't required to bowl and kept his nerve to remain unbeaten at 10 off 13 balls with Nicholas Pooran finishing off in style with a big six over square leg against T Natarajan. Adil Rashid (2/23) was the pick of the bowlers with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umran Malik picking up a wicket apiece.

Impact player Fazalhaq Farooqi also picked up a wicket in the powerplay but thanks to a poor batting display, the Sunrisers bowlers never looked in the game and in the hunt as the Super Giants finished the game off inside 16 overs.

Stay tuned for the post match festivities.
