That's it from another great encounter in the Women's Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here taking your leave on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Kanika Ahuja (Player of the Match): "The aim was to win the game for RCB. Just wanted to win one game for this franchise. I have been hitting a long ball since I was a small kid. In Patiala, the journey was difficult. Didn't get enough practice but happy to get here. I have been playing in these pressure situations while playing for Punjab and it helped me tonight. The environment will be very good in the dressing room after the win tonight."
Player of the Match: Kanika Ahuja
Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain): "I think we lost a couple of wickets around 7th over and it got a bit nervous but then the way Kanika and Richa had the partnership that got us through so really happy for the way Kanika played, really proud of her.

The camera showed that I was pretty nervous initially. I was praying that we should get a win at least today. So I think I prayed to all gods today but just watching Kanika and Richa and what they did, really really proud of them today.

Really excited to see Kanika bat, the way she bats. The approach she has. Kanika is a 360 degree player which is not as common in Indian cricket. We have technical players who play in the V and seeing her even in the first game she played, that also impressed me a lot, so happy for her and the confidence she has.

Really thankful for the supporters. Even when you are not in a good position, the people are chanting for you. Having that sort of loyal fan base for the franchise and I don't know how many of them turn up even after you lose five in a row and they still come up and chant "RCB" so really happy and I think this one's for them more than anyone."
Powerful Striker of the Match: Grace Harris
Richa Ghosh (Royal Challengers Bangalore Women): "Feels good. Just one was required and I thought of giving her a chance to score the winning runs. We were positive coming into every match but the energy was different tonight. We have nothing to lose and feels great to get a win. I and Kanika decided to build a partnership. There were plenty of balls and decided to stay at the crease. The plans we decided were executed perfectly by our bowlers. Also, the ball was spinning a bit. In our last game, we gained momentum. We didn't win but gained momentum and it helped us tonight to win the game."
Alyssa Healy (UP Warriorz Women Skipper): "We fought hard but we put a very under-par score on the board. The wicket was holding a bit. It was a little bit tackier in the first and we went ahead of ourselves early in the innings. Losing three wickets inside the powerplay never helps. Spin to win tonight. It was gripping tonight and we knew we needed to pick wickets to stay in the game. We tried hard but 130 on this ground won't be enough. Credit to RCB Women. They have a strong side and they turned up tonight wanting to win and finished on the winning side."
10:49 PM IST: A brilliant match winning partnership between Kanika Ahuja and Richa Ghosh has made sure RCB get their first points in the WPL with a thumping win over the Uttar Pradesh Warriorz. Richa Ghosh stayed till the end and scored 31 not out to guide the Challengers to victory at the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai. Smriti Mandhana won the toss and elected to bowl first making one change in the lineup.

Kanika Ahuja was fit again and back in the mix replacing Preeti Bose. The RCB opening bowlers Sophie Devine and Megan Schutt struck early in the powerplay and picked up 3 early wickets in the stage. Sobhana Asha then played her part and finished with 2 wickets but a costly final over from her disturbed her figures to 2/27.

Ellyse Perry found her form with the bowl and finished as the pick of the bowlers with 3/16 in 4 overs. Shreyanka Patil was taken to the cleaners but finished with a wicket as UPW were bundled out for 135 in the final over of the first innings.

RCB got off to a flier in the first over as Sophie Devine scored 14 in 6 deliveries but soon was dismissed on the final ball of the first over by Grace Harris. Smriti Mandhana couldn't even open her account and was bowled by Deepti Sharma in the 2nd over.

Ellyse Perry was sent in at number 3 and played steadily to score 10 off 13 adding 29 runs for the third wicket with Heather Knight. Knight also scored 24 adding 17 with Kanika Ahuja who played the aggressive part hitting 46 in 30 balls on her comeback in the playing XI.

Knight was dismissed by Deepti in the ninth over and there were clouds of uncertainty over RCB getting towards the total but Richa Ghosh kept her calm and added 60 runs with Kanika for the 5th wicket to take RCB closer. Kanika was bowled by Sophie Ecclestone in the 17th over to add some twist in the tale but Richa finished the job with a six and a four in the next over and rotated the strike to Shreyanka Patil to take the winning run.

Deepti picked up 2 wickets with Ecclestone, Harris and Devika Vaidya chipping in with a wicket apiece but there weren't enough runs on the board for the Warriorz to contain a good looking RCB lineup. As a result, RCB now has 2 points on the table and a slightly better net run rate then Gujarat Giants pushing them above GG in the table at number 4.

17.6 D Sharma to S Patil
1 Shreyanka Patil seals the deal for RCB Women and they grab their first win of the WPL 2023. They keep themselves alive in the competition. This was a length delivery around leg, Shreyanka shuffles and laps it towards fine leg for a single. That's all what was needed and RCB Women beat UP Warriorz Women by five wickets.
17.5 D Sharma to R Ghosh
1 Flighted delivery on the stumps, Ghosh slog sweeps it and gets a top edge over the keeper. Vaidya from short third chases after it and strangely, Ghosh settles for just a single.
17.4 D Sharma to R Ghosh
0 Straighter this time on the stumps and Ghosh brings her bat down in time to dig it out.
17.3 D Sharma to R Ghosh
0 Deepti nails the yorker this time outside off and Ghosh squeezes it in the point region.
17.2 D Sharma to R Ghosh
4 FOUR!!!!! Ghosh wants to finish this quickly. Deepti attempts a yorker but ends up bowling a low full toss and Ghosh pounces on it as she flicks it nicely and splits the gap between long on and deep mid wicket to collect a boundary.
17.1 D Sharma to R Ghosh
6 SIXXX!!! Richa Ghosh hits the killer blow. Deepti bowls it right in the slot on the stumps, Ghosh takes her front leg out of the way and smacks it over the mid wicket fence for a biggie. That made a cracking sound off the bat and it sails 78 m.
12 more needed off the final 3 overs! This is RCB's game to lose! Deepti Sharma will bowl.

16.6 S Ecclestone to S Patil
4 FOUR!!!! An arm ball from Ecclestone around leg, Patil shuffles across to the off side and laps it fine for a boundary. Ecclestone came very close to picking a wicket here but Patil made sure that she got bat to it. The ball would have crashed on the leg stump if Patil had missed it.
16.5 S Ecclestone to S Patil
0 Ecclestone fires this one full and outside off, Patil goes for a drive but gets beaten.
