That's it from our coverage of the Irani cup fixture between Madhya Pradesh and Rest of India. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee, Saptak Sanyal and scorer Bishal Mandal. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
The Rest of India get their hands on the trophy and celebrate! The BCCI domestic season ends in the senior men's category with this one-off clash.
Mayank Agarwal (Rest of India Captain): "Actually very happy with the kind of cricket we played. There was good intent and intensity as we mentioned. Opening partnership between Yashasvi and Abhi was amazing and the rate at which they batted helped us win. Very very happy the way Saini performed. He took the leadership role as well bowling well as a seamer and speaking to the bowlers about what can be done and Mukesh also bowled really well especially in the second innings getting those early breakthroughs. It is more to do with how to bring the boys together for just one game but the boys did really well and it showed on the field. Really looking forward to the IPL and looking forward to play for the Sunrisers."
Yashasvi Jaiswal( Player of the match): "I was trying a triple hundred in the first innings and would've been happy if I was able to convert. The ball was moving a bit and I was talking with Abhimanyu Easwaran about what shot I can play, what can there plans be. It helped me. When you have a experienced cricketer by your side , you gain a lot. It was a good experience in batting.

I have much more area to improve on different shots, playing with different mindset in different time. I am looking for my next opportunity."
Himanshu Mantri (Madhya Pradesh Captain): "Yes, tough match for us. If we played better on the first day, things would have been better for us. We should have restricted them to a low total and then bat better. That's where we lost it. Yes, they are great players, but it was an opportunity for youngsters to do well. This will be a learning curve for them and they will learn from it. Chandrakanth sir takes care of everyone and all the small things that he cares about. Thanks to all the coaching staff for taking care of us. Yes, we are developing a culture and I think we are heading in the right direction. Lots to learn from us."
Time for the presentation.
11:48 AM IST: Rest of India retain the Irani cup by beating the previous Ranji champions Madhya Pradesh by a huge margin of 238 runs at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior. 356 on the fourth day on a low bouncy track is always a tough ask.

Especially against all the Rest of India bowlers, it becomes more difficult. Navdeep Saini made it more out-of-reach of Madhya Pradesh by removing Himanshu Mantri (51) in the very third ball of the day. After that Harsh Gawli showed some resistance and scored a few runs. But on the other side, wickets were trembling.

Centurion of the previous innings, Yash Dubey (8) lost his off stump in front of a jaffa by Mukesh Kumar.  After that, a partnership occurred between Gawli and Aman Solanki (31). Both played the innings strokefully and made a 49 run stand between them.

Atit Seth bowled some inward coming balls with varying his length and one ball went through the defence of Aman. Saransh Jain tried a wide drive and gave a faint edge to the keeper and got dismissed for just 7. It was then only a wicket left game.

The wicket of Harsh Gawli(48) was needed and Pulkit Narang made the strike with a beautiful off spinning delivery on off stump, which marked his departure as LBW. Then Pulkit Narang and Saurabh Kumar demolished the tail by removing Ankit Kushwah(23), Anubhav Agarwal(3) and Kumar Kartikeya(7) in a quick succession to secure a huge 238 run victory for Rest of India.

Earlier in the game, Rest of India skipper Mayank Agarwal won the toss and decided to bat first putting a mammoth total of 484 runs on the back of a double century by number 3 Yashasvi Jaiswal (213) and his 371 run partnership with opener Abhimanyu Easwaran (154) which is also the biggest ever partnership in the history of Irani cup.

Madhya Pradesh were crumbled for 294 but Yash Dubey excelled with 109 and got good support with Saransh Jain (66) and Harsh Gawli (54) as seamers Navdeep Saini, Mukesh Kumar and then Pulkit Narang combined to bring the home team down in the first innings securing a 190 run lead.

The MP bowlers got the prized wicket of Mayank Agarwal early for the second time in the match as he departed for a duck but Yashasvi Jaiswal had another ton in his tank, tonking the MP bowlers for 144 in just 157 deliveries. Combined effort from the MP bowlers kept the ROI score at 246 setting them a total of 437 runs.

Stay tuned as we stick around for the presentation ceremony.
58.4 S Kumar to K Kartikeya
W Big appeal and up goes the finger! Rest of India win the Irani cup by 238 runs. Fuller delivery bowled with some extra flight, stays really very low as Kartikeya moves forward to play the sweep and is completely bamboozled getting hit in front of the off stump. Madhya Pradesh lose eight wickets inside the first session on day 5.
58.3 S Kumar to K Kartikeya
0 Good length and outside the off stump. Kartikeya leans forward to defend and gets beaten on the outside edge.
58.2 S Kumar to K Kartikeya
6 SIXX!!! Kumar Kartikeya with some fireworks! Dances down the ground reaching the pitch of this tossed up delivery delivered just outside off and smashes this over long on for a maximum.
58.1 S Kumar to K Kartikeya
0 Round the wicket, fuller one on the stumps. Defended to mid on.

57.6 P Narang to A Agarwal
W OUT! Chips it straight back to the bowler. Pulkit drags his length by a couple of inches bowling outside the off stump. Anubhav tries to reach the line of the ball but misses. Plays a cross batted stroke without timing hitting it straight down the pitch. Pulkit moves across to his right and takes an easy chance.
57.5 P Narang to A Agarwal
0 Length ball just outside the off stump. Anubhav pushes to point and asks his partner to wait.
57.4 P Narang to A Agarwal
2 Good length on the pads, tucked behind square in the leg side. Deep backward square runs to his right and uses his feet to stop the ball as a double is taken.
