That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Chandan Kr Singh. Bye Bye.
Marizanne Kapp (Hero of the Match): "We were really playing for a win. Things haven’t gone our way this season but this win will mean a lot to the group. When Devine started her innings, I felt we were short of the runs but we bowled well in the second half of the innings.

I prefer the new ball and it is going my way this season. I was a bit tired after batting but that’s my job. I’m not gonna lie but I was nervous when Devine was batting. When she gets going, she can win the game for any side. But our youngsters were incredible today.

Losing Dane is a massive loss for us. But it has happened with this group in the last two seasons and we have to make sure that we step up for one another going ahead in the tournament."

9:40 PM IST, 5:10 PM Local Time: That's it. The Oval Invincibles hold their nerves as they emerge victorious against the Birmingham Phoenix. The batters did a fine job early in the day to post a competitive total on the board before their bowlers stepped up to defend it successfully to win the game by 10 runs. The Birmingham Phoenix Women remain winless in the Women's Hundred 2023 Competition.

Chasing 143, the Phoenix Women got off to a flying start, thanks to Sophie Devine. She came out all guns blazing and played some outstanding strokes. She was well-supported by Tess Flintoff from the other end who played the role of a second fiddle. Devine kept on scoring at a brisk rate and brought up her maiden fifty in the Hundred Competition of just 26 balls. She holed out in the deep on 53 off 34 balls after hitting seven boundaries and two sixes.

Devine's departure allowed the Oval Invincibles Women to get back in the contest. They kept picking wickets at regular intervals and as a result, the required run rate crept up. Flintoff departed on 27. Isabelle Wong (18) and Sterre Kalis (9*) tried hard but they fell short of the target by 10 runs as it was too much to do in the end for the lower-order batters. Paige Scholfield was the standout bowler for the Invincibles side as she registered figures of 3/30 in her 20 balls. Ryana MacDonald-Gay also grabbed two wickets as it helped them defend the total successfully.

Earlier, the Oval Invincibles Women were asked to bat first and they didn't have the best of starts as Suzie Bates (9) and Alice Capsey (0) fell on two consecutive deliveries. Marizanne Kapp joined Lauren Winfield-Hill and both stitched a brilliant partnership for the third wicket. Both kept the Birmingham Phoenix Women at bay and scored at a brisk rate.

Winfield-Hill fell on 41 but Kapp continued her merry way as she brought up her fifty. She remained unbeaten on 64 off 40 balls to power her side to 142 at the end of their innings. Kapp's knock comprised six boundaries and two maximums. Katie Levick and Hannah Baker picked up two wickets each for the Phoenix Women. The batters then failed to step up as they failed to defend the total.
