Player Bio

Another talented cricketer to have come out of the English youth setup, Isabelle Wong is an English cricketer who has played for quite a lot of teams in the domestic circuits of England and Australia.

A right-arm fast bowler who has the ability to bowl at speeds in excess of 110 km/h, Wong started her domestic cricket with Warwickshire and was introduced to the world of fast bowling.

Wong represented the Warwickshire squad that won the U-17 national competition and also the side that won the 2019 Women’s T20 Cup.

In December 2020, Wong was appreciated for her performance throughout the year and was one of 41 women’s cricketers to be given a full-time domestic contract.

Wong justified her reward with a stellar performance in the 2021 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. She finished as the third-highest wicket-taker, with 14 scalps under her kitty. Ahead of the 2021 WBBL season, it was announced that Wong had signed for Sydney Thunder and will come in as a replacement for the injured Shabnim Ismail.

Still in her teenage days, Wong has already achieved so many things at the domestic level. Now it is time to step up and gain a place in the England national team.
