What a spectacular contest we were treated to at the Men's Hundred. Two out of two games against the London Spirit ends up with a triumph for the Oval Invincibles. They get two crucial points and remain at the top of the league table.

This is your guy, Arijit Kundu, and was joined by co-commentators- Ayan Chatterjee and Harshit Rathi for the entirety of the London Derby. Paras Yadav was the scorer/analyst. I can still feel the heat of this contest. The throbs are still being felt at the chest but in the end, it's the crowd, the audience, that's been entertained.

Stay tuned to this space as we try our best to entertain more often across contests globally.
Will Jacks (Match Hero): "Crazy game and what a finish. We won it twice and glad we won in the end. I had to be one step ahead of the batters. Sometimes it comes off and sometimes it doesn't and it was a tough day in the office. We had to fight off the first 20 balls and then glad we won the game. Two games we have won defending and massive confidence that we can defend totals and win these close ones Happy with the win."
1:55 AM IST| Time to pinch yourselves😳. What drama, what game, what a final set. About 90 seconds ago, Sam Curran might be thinking- "What did I do?". He gave a second chance to the rivals to earn a victory as Curran overstepped but the calm composed allrounder nailed the yorker and ended the game on their court.

The Hundred cannot get any better. The London Derby cannot get any better. A brilliant save from Ross Whitely at the deep. Sam Curran's mishap and redemption. Some terrific display of cricket.

Arriving for a hefty chase of 190 runs, the London openers gave a rollicking start. Although Zak Crawley looked scratchy, Adam Rossington's clean striking eclipsed it. After a certain time in the first phase of the innings, runs were coming thick and fast with the wicketkeeper batter hastening to a fifty.

The Spirit were 94-0 at one point and soon they were 96-3 in a space of 6 balls. Sam Curran came in and removed a struggling Crawley with a slower one, followed by Will Jacks' couple of wickets in the successive set.

Dan Lawrence tried to revive the situation with the support of Matthew Wade and orchestrated 46 runs together. Just when things were heading in the way of the visitors, Adam Zampa was brought in and the wrist spinner who was filling the shoes of Sunil Narine toppled two wickets in an over.

Matt Critchley kept the London side in the game and did not give up easily. He found some strikes off the middle of the blade, got three sixes and a four but failed to get his side over the line,

The final set demanded 17 runs from the five balls off Sam Curran. It came down to 14 off the final three balls and Critchley smacked one for a six. The following delivery would've been a maximum too but Ross Whitely stood in the path. The domestic veteran rushed to his right and tipped the ball inside the field of play to curtail the equation to six off the final ball. A no-ball followed and Curran had to reload when the numbers came down to three required off the final ball i.e. free-hit. Curran cleaned up Chris Wood which turned out to be a dot and that's the way this contest saw its climax.

Earlier, the Oval Invincibles got to the highest runs scored in Kia Oval in Men's Hundred i.e. 189 on the back of brilliant top order batting. The openers gave a solid start, but watchful at the start and gradually switched gears. The opening pair of Will Jacks and Jason Roy glued 79 runs with Heinrich Klaasen and Sam Curran continuing with the baton.

Jacks found his golden touch at the batting paradise in Kia Oval and assaulted the opposition bowlers with 68 runs from 42 balls. Klaasen was in beast mode and unleashed 46* runs off 24 balls with four sixes and one four. On the other end of the crease it was younger Curran who joined the party and added 35 runs off 17 balls. The final phase of the innings saw a couple of wicket tumble and Oval ended the scoreboard with 189 runs.

100b S Curran to C Wood
0 Nails the yorker at the stumps, Wood cannot do anything about it as the stumps get rattled. It is a free hit so it won't be a wicket. It is a dot ball and Oval Invincibles do win in the end by just 2 runs and win this by the barest of margins.
Arijit: It's a funny game. It's a harsh game. You may call it whatever you like. But this isn't over. It's the London Derby and it came down the final ball which turns out to be a no-ball. One more in the cards. Free-hit, there you go!! Billings is having a chat with Curran, with two more fielders around. Three runs to win off the final ball which is a free hit 😨.
Hang on!! The front foot is being checked by the panel of umpires. Well, Well, Well!! Sammy Curran???? Is that a no-ball? There is nothing behind the crease and it will be a free-hit next it seems.
100b S Curran to M Critchley
1nb Fuller length around off, Critchley drives it through mid-off for a run as the long-off fielder gets around and dives to save some runs for his side. Sam Curran has held his nerve here or has he? Would you believe it? Sam Curran has bowled a no ball and free hit comes up next. Another twist in the tale here. They actually got a single there.
Oh, my word!!! Ross Whiteley is one of the spectacular fielders. He loves to field at the deep mid-wicket and the square of the wicket regions. Does an incredible job to dive and tip the ball inside the rope. This is some effort.
99b S Curran to M Critchley
2 Brilliant work from Whiteley!!! Fuller ball from Sam, and Critchley picks it up for a clean and crisp shot but Whiteley jumps and throws it out of the boundary ropes and saves four for the team. What a game, this is happening to be!!! He was running squarer from the deep mid wicket region and pulls out a brilliant work.
Arijit: Reminded me of Dwayne Smith for MI against CSK some years back. Critchley needs to replicate the same.
98b S Curran to M Critchley
6 SIX! Length ball and in the slot, Critchley swings it away over deep square leg as the ball sails into the stands for the maximum and keeps the match alive.
14 runs needed from the final three balls.
97b S Curran to M Critchley
2 Fuller and in the blockhole for Critchley. Pushes it onto the long-on for a quick double.
96b S Curran to C Wood
1 Good length around off, Wood drills it to mid-off for a single.
17 runs needed from the last five balls. Sam Curran with the final set.
You cannot let the adrenaline get the better of you. Sowter overran on that case and had to attempt another dive but all in vain as even the fielder backing up from deep square leg failed to stop the ball.

4 In the hitting zone for Wood. High in the air, falls short of the fielder and turns the other way after the bounce. Sowter misses to grab it and so did the other fielder. Lucky four for Wood and a crucial one.
