Milestone
That's it from another exhilarating game of the Hundred ball competition. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saipavan and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more action.
Daniel Lawrence | Hero of the Match | London Spirit Skipper : "Yeah it's a good game and the last 10 balls will get the nerves, thanks god we cross the line. It was hard to get the right people in the right place, right and left combination. (Root) He can play, managed to keep him off strike on the last few balls. Zak is in good form, let him play his shots and assessed the situation. It is fun, and it's brilliant when you win this. It was lovely to play in front of a packed crowd. Happy that we got a win at the end."
Daniel Lawrence is the hero of the match.
9:52 PM IST, 5:22 PM Local time: An allround performance with both bat and ball take London Spirit to their first win of the season as they defeat Trent Rockets by 2 runs in a thrilling encounter.

Rockets skipper Lewis Gregory won the toss and elected to bat first. Spirit skipper Dan Lawrence led the team to 195/4 hitting 93 in 49 balls. Ish Sodhi and Sam Cook picked up 2 wickets each for Rockets.

Chasing a big target, Rockets lost two wickets in the powerplay for just 18 runs with Daniel Worrall bowling a terrific first spell finishing with 2/23 in 20 balls. Tom Kohler-Cadmore added 57 with Joe Root for the third wicket before getting out to Liam Dawson.

Root played a magnificent attacking hand getting to a half century and added 69 with Colin Munro and 43 in just 17 balls with Daniel Sams. The latter hit 32 in just 11 balls with 2 sixes and four fours before getting out on the 97th ball with nine more needed on the board.

Skipper Lewis Gregory was the last man to bat but couldn't turn the strike over to Root who finished unbeaten at 72 in 35 balls with 10 fours and a couple of maximums. Dawson picked up 2 wickets alongside Worrall with Nathan Ellis finishing at 1/43 in an expensive spell.

Spirit now have 4 points next to their name and stand at number 4 in the table.

W Appeal and the finger is raised! Full and straight from Nathan Ellis. Sams gets on the front foot and swings across but misses a long way on the inside edge, gets hit right in front of the stumps on the back pad. He refers the decision. Ball tracking confirms he has to go! Huge moment in the game.
9 runs needed off 4 balls.

4 FOUR MORE! Sams on fire!! Over the wicket, a knee height full toss angled back in. Sams picks it up beautifully and flicks very fine. Beats the man at 45 in the circle and gets his fourth four.
