That’s a wrap from our side as well. Welsh Fire started their The Hundred campaign on a high note. I hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, this is Prince Suman signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee, along with scorer/analyst Paras Yadav, but you don’t go anywhere as it’s a double-header in The Hundred Men, and London Spirit will cross swords against Oval Invincibles in the second game of the day.

So, switch the tab and join the second game with our commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Deepak Prakash, who will provide you with all the ball-by-ball analysis of the second contest. CHEERS!
Luke Wells(Player of the Match): "We wanted to have a right-hand left-hand combination, so I believe opening was a last-minute choice. Fortunately, the decision to open paid off. Rain limited the game, so you don't have much time to consider it, but it was enjoyable. I think I have played variety of roles, including opening, batting at positions 3, 4, and lower in the order. Trying to adapt, will hope to do the job for Welsh Fire. Has been a relaxed atmosphere as we are getting to know each other."

10:51 PM IST: A brilliant display of batting and bowling by Welsh Fire as they tumped  Manchester Originals by 9 runs.

In the rain-curtailed match, Manchester Originals had a very worst start as they lost their first two wickets on the first two balls. Shaheen Afridi made a quick impact by taking both wickets, putting Manchester on the back foot. Jos Buttler and Max Holden formed a partnership of 63 runs for the third wicket, but David Willey regained the momentum for his team by dismissing Holden.

Buttler fought a lone battle till the end of the innings, but he didn't receive much support from other players, resulting in his team managing only 84 runs. Buttler scored an unbeaten 37 runs. Shaheen Afridi and David Willey took a couple of wickets each for Welsh Fire.

Earlier, After being invited to bat first, Welsh Fire got off to a flying start. It was Luke Wells who stole the show by scoring a rapid 57 runs off just 23 balls. His aggressive batting set the stage on fire and put the opposition under pressure. Alongside him, Glenn Phillips also played a valuable role, contributing 19 runs from 12 balls towards the end of the innings. With the duo's brilliant performance, Welsh Fire managed to reach a score of 94 for the loss of 3 wickets in 40 balls.

It was hard work for the Originals bowlers. Joshua Little picked up 2 wickets for 22 runs in 10 balls while Tom Hartley gave away 7 runs in 5 balls and picked up 1 wicket. Hartley bowled the final set of the innings. The rest of the bowlers were wicketless and went for runs.
