Milestone
That concludes the presentation and that also wraps up our coverage of this game. Thanks for tuning in. Joins us tomorrow for a doubleheader. For now, this is Megh Mandaliya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash, and scorer/analyst Paas Yadav. Cheers and have a good night!
Quinton de Kock (Durban Super Giants Captain and Player of the match): "Yeah, it was important to score runs for the team. There was some good bounce on the wicket and the Cape Town bowlers tried to exert some pressure on us. But is just a matter of waiting for the right ball. It's good to be back at the front. Myself and KG always had some good battles and this was one of them. This win was very important but there is still some hard work left. We need to win the next two matches."
Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town Captain): "Yeah, it was the very competitive runs on the board but I feel we were 15 to 20 runs short.  We gave up runs in the first 10 overs as well, but we battled back well in the last few. We now have to prevail in our final contests. Every game is a must-win knockout if we want to finish in the top four. We shouldn't put too much pressure on ourselves and just play shrewd cricket. Just focus on winning one game at a time and offer everything we've got. I believed that on that particular wicket, we could have scored 190."
Time for the post-match presentation...
12:48 AM IST | T20 cricket in South Africa is back after a short breather and it has returned in some style. A last-over thriller here at Kingsmead and it is the Durban Super Giants, who have defeated MI Cape Town by 5 wickets.

In pursuit of a competitive total, the Super Giants started on an assertive note by swatting 55 off the powerplay. Captain Quinton de Kock and Ben McDermott spearheaded the innings for the home side and stitched a 33-run opening partnership, where de Kock was the leading figure. Duan Jansen dished the first breakthrough for Cape Town by removing McDermott for 5(7).

Quinton de Kock kept marching on and glued up a 65-run partnership with Matthew Breetzke. The southpaw played a captainโ€™s knock and brought up his half-century before he was dismissed for 63(41) which included 7 fours and 3 maximums to his credit. Keemo Paul, the next man in, completely changed the course of the game by smashing a quickfire 31(18) but a couple of quick breakthroughs from Kagiso Rabada at the backend again leveled the contest.

Eventually, it was a composed inning of 48(39) from Breetzke that got the home side over the line. The Durban Super Giants are still alive in the competition. Rabada was the pick of bowlers for MI Cape Town and ended his stint with the figures of 3/22.

Earlier in the day, after being invited to bat first, the visitors registered 165/5 on the board. After losing both the openers early on, Rassie van der Dussen joined forces with Tim David and stitched a much-needed partnership of 55 runs. David Willey brought the partnership to a close by dismissing Rassie for 43(32). Tim David also secured 33(26) before returning. Struggling at 115/5, Delano Potgieter resurrected the Cape Town innings by swatting 32(17). Dwaine Pretorius bagged the most wickets for Super Giants but was a touch expensive. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation!
