That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do join us for cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Bye bye. Good night.
Alyssa Healy (Australia Women Captain): "We pride ourselves on our middle order. We know the damage they can do and the bowlers also stepped up to defend it successfully. It is a bit stressful and I thought I dropped the match when Harmanpreet missed that but happy to finish on the winning side.

A bit of a rusty start for Brown but credit to her to bounce back. The middle order had an opportunity to have a go and Harris played beautifully in the end. Perry also played well which helped us post a good total on the board but happy to see the bowlers step up."
Ellyse Perry (Player of the Match): "Only a few of our batters got to bat earlier and it was nice to get an opportunity to bat today. Grace was outstanding. It was a great team effort and a pretty comprehensive win in the end which is always good to have.

I obviously enjoy batting for Australia and try to keep improving. Not as many runs today as D.Y. Patil but quite a bit of wickets fell today. India also got a couple of wickets. There was a bit of bounce in it. We played here four years before. Our bowlers bowled the slower ones well, especially Darcy was brilliant."
Player of the Match: Ellyse Perry
Gamechanger of the match: Grace Harris
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "The way the youngsters have taken responsibility is very impressive. They know what field they have and bowl accordingly. After restricting them to 170 odd, we backed ourselves to chase it down. But a few overs in the middle went less than six and it didn't help us.

Shafali or I had to play till the end. But with the 30-run difference, we had to take chances. With the batting line up we have, we had to hit boundaries but it didn't work out tonight."
Time for the post-match presentation.
Darcie Brown: "Yeah the start wasn't ideal but it was good to get the victory. Yeah, I feel so, but we have a great bowling attack and we back our strengths and we did it. No, it wasn't slippery [the ball during her first over] at all. My wrist was being a bit lazy.

Ah, it looks a bit different. Little bounce here and little bit swing early is common. [on the pitch at Brabourne]"
Akshay | 10:10 PM IST: That’s the end of the game. A brilliant all-round effort from the Southern Stars help them beat India Women convincingly. Defending 173 wasn’t easy on this belter of a track but the Australian bowlers stepped up and restricted the Indian Women to 151/7 to win the game by 21 runs. A clinical performance sees the visitors bounce back in the series and now lead the five-match series by a 2-1 margin.

Chasing 173, India Women didn’t have the best of starts as they lost in-form Smriti Mandhana on one in the third over. Jemimah Rodrigues walked out at three and looked good but it was a short stay for her as Brown trapped her in front of the stumps. Harmanpreet Kaur joined Shafali Verma who was looking dangerous at the other end. She was dropped 13 and she pounced on the opportunity. She played some outstanding strokes and kept the Aussies at bay.

Kaur took some time to settle in but Verma went berserk at the other end. Both put 73 between them which took the momentum away from Australia Women. Verma brought up her fifty off 39 balls but departed soon. It allowed the Southern Stars to get back in the contest as quick wickets helped them dent the Indian Women’s progress. Kaur departed on 37 and it was too much to do in the end as the hosts fell short by 21 runs. Darcie Brown and Ashleigh Gardner picked up two wickets each for Australia as they defended the total successfully to go 2-1 up in the series.

Earlier, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bowl first. The decision paid off as the bowlers bowled brilliantly and reduced Australia Women to 5/2 in the second over. Beth Mooney along with Ellyse Perry started the recovery work. Both played some beautiful strokes as they put 64 between them before Mooney departed on 30. There was no stopping Perry at the other end as she kept finding the fence regularly.

Perry brought up her fifty and was well-supported by Grace Harris from the other end. They took on the Indian bowlers in the middle phase and scored at a brisk rate. Perry fell on 75 off 47 balls in the 17th over. Harris played a fantastic cameo of 41 off just 18 balls to power her side to 172/8 at the end of their 20 overs. Renuka Singh Thakur, Anjali Sarvani, Deepti Sharma, and Devika Vaidya picked up two wickets apiece for India. Their batters failed to step up as they fell short by 21 runs. Stick around for the post-match presentation.

19.6 M Schutt to A Sarvani
1 Length delivery outside the off and Sarvani turns it across the line with the angled blade past the square leg region. A customary single taken and Australia seals the victory by a margin of 21 runs. Stand-in skipper Alyssa Healy takes her side to a 2-1 lead.
19.5 M Schutt to D Sharma
1 Bangs short outside the off and Deepti pulls it to deep square leg for a single. 23 runs needed of the last ball.
19.4 M Schutt to D Sharma
0 Full and at the off and Deepti plays and gets the inside edge back to the pads.
19.3 M Schutt to D Sharma
2 Full and outside the off and Deepti lofts it in the air and just short of the diving fielder at mid off. The fielder there spoons it up and therefore the Indian pair runs for a double.
19.2 M Schutt to A Sarvani
1 Length delivery at the legs and Sarvani clips it towards square leg for a single.
19.1 M Schutt to R Yadav
W Ah eh!! A mix-up and Radha Yadav is run-out here. Full,leg-cutter at the off peg. Radha plays and gets the inside edge back to the pads. The ball rebounds and trickles to the left of the bowler where Schutt collected the bowl and hit the bull's eye as Radha looked to reach back at her crease. Deepti called it wrong on this occasion and should've run for it.
