Bjorn Fortuin (Player of the Match): "Our last game wasn't ideal. We needed to bounce back and we did it. It's high-risk, high reward. I think the conditions do play well here. It is quite slow but the batsman looks to make opportunities of it as well."

Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings skipper): "Disappointed with the side, we never wanted to lose 4 wickets in the powerplay. Was surprised with the bounce on offer and Lungi bowled well. It got better in the second innings, it settled down and was easier to bat on. We should have taken a lot more time, he knows what we have to improve. Shot selection is something that we need to look into. (Me) Batting at top of the order was discussed way before the tournament started and I think we might re-think it going ahead."

A comprehensive chase for the Paarl Royals as they earn their maiden triumph in this season of SA20. Arriving for a chase of 82 runs, they lost Jason Roy in the third over. When Roy was dismissed, he scored 100% of the runs at that point in time. With time, Jos Buttler opened up and started to free his arms. Lubbe looked impressive during his short stay but went dismissed at the edge of the powerplay off the bowling of Romario Shepherd.
Earlier, the Joburg Super Kings' batting has been abysmal, with the batters appearing to have no idea about the questions thrown by the Royals' bowlers. At the end of the first inning, they had 81 runs.
Bjorn Fortuin and Lungi Ngidi shone with the new ball, and the pair worked well together to wreak havoc on the Super Kings' batting order. The top order, which included Reeza Hendricks, Janeman Malan, and Faf du Plessis, was torn down within the powerplay. The visitors continued to lose wickets on regular intervals and could manage only a paltry.
Evan Jones and Bjorn Fortuin bagged three wickets for the Royals.
