That’s a wrap from our side as well. It was a great game of cricket and hope you enjoyed our live coverage. Sunrisers Eastern Cape starts their season with a victory and will look to continue a similar approach in the upcoming matches.

We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash, along with our Scorer/Analyst Paras Yadav, I, Tugral Azmi, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Wayne Parnell (Capitals Captain): "Here, winning is absolutely important. We undoubtedly had some strong hitters in the lower order. I believe that confidence is crucial and that there are many areas in which we can still do better. We shall see the best of the boys once we allow them to be free."
Phil Salt (Player of the Match): "With a few X-factor bowlers in our lineup, we were able to get our lengths just right in the second inning. I had to use the bat as the circumstances required. The ambiance was fantastic. Was a little anxious, but it was nice to be back playing cricket."
Aiden Markram ( Sunrisers Captain): "We had some rustiness and were off in all areas of the game, but we are excited for the game on Saturday. It is annoying, but it is what it is, and we must learn from it. rapid turnaround We must maintain our optimism and fight back hard. Still, early days and a lot to look forward to."
Time for the post-match presentations.
The Parnell-led Pretoria Capitals have thwarted Sunrisers Eastern Cape by 23 runs to register their maiden victory in the SA20 league.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, the Pretoria Capitals posted 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. An unbeaten power-hitting inning from Phil Salt (77 off 47) and ably supported by Jimmy Neesham from the other end who scored 37 off 28, and cameo innings of the skipper Wayne Parnell (29* off 9). They helped their side to post a mammoth target of 193. On the flip side, Aiden Markram and Ottniel Baartman scalped two wickets for the Capitals, while Marco Jansen and Sisanda Magala bagged a solitary wicket a piece each.

While chasing a mammoth target of 194 runs, Sunrisers Eastern Cape got off to a disastrous start. They lost their first wicket in the second over and were put under pressure straight from the word go. Jordan Cox and Aiden Markram failed to score the runs at a brisk rate as both of them cheaply dismissed on the score of 5 each. Sunrisers Eastern Cape were reeling at the score of 34/3.

Tristan Stubbs along with Smuts started building a partnership for the fourth wicket, this duo added some 34 runs and the former dismissed on 23.  Smuts and Tom Abell, came out all guns blazing and scoring briskly in the middle overs. They stitched a partnership of 65 runs for the 5th wicket, and Smuts departed for 66 runs off 51 balls. After the dismissal of Smuts, Tom Abell (40*)and James Fuller (27*) scored quickly in the death overs, a partnership of 37 runs in 19 balls, but the target required 42 runs in 6 balls in the last over, which was an impossible task for Sunrisers Eastern Cape. They had to face defeat by 23 runs in the opening fixture.

Anrich Nortje was the only bowler to take a couple of wickets and were ably supported by Wayne Parnell, Adil Rashid and Jimmy Neesham took a solitary wicket a piece.

In the end, the Sunrisers outclassed their opponents in all departments to take home points and celebration! Stick with our live coverage for the post-match presentation
