Andre Russell( Player of the match): "Well I was struggling a bit but I know what I can do, getting the opportunity to go and open the inning really displayed a big difference today, I appreciate the Captain and Coach for having confidence in me. You know when you are a big player you know what to do. We are happy to be in the finals. The good thing to play the back-to-back game was the body was warmed up which helped us."

Tom Kohler-Cadmore: "Yeah, obviously a great feeling. I think through the half of the inning we were standing down the barrel but the way Nicky batted and Dre Russ finds the form as well yeah, just feels nice to go over the line. It's been nice to just keep the momentum going."
GAME, SET AND MATCH AS DECCAN GLADIATORS ADVANCE TO THE FINAL. They beat Morrisville Samp Army by eight wickets in this Qualifier 2 to make it to the summit clash. Superb composure from Nicholas Pooran to take the side home with two balls to spare! However, the majority of the work was done by Andre Russell who was promoted to open in this massive chase.
Requiring 120 for victory, Deccan Gladiators started off slowly with Sheldon Cottrell bowling a fine first over. However, Russell got into his groove immediately and didn't spare any of the Morrisville Samp Army's bowlers. It was only in the 6th over that Samp Army finally got a breakthrough as Dwaine Pretorius got rid of Tom Kohler-Cadmore. However, it didn't matter as the duo of Russell and Nicholas Pooran continued to motor on. With only 15 required off the last 10 balls, Karim Janat dismissed Russell to give the Samp Army a life-line. However, Chamika Karunaratne couldn't defend 13 off the final over with the Gladiators' skipper Pooran rounding off the match with two balls to spare!
