That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do join us tomorrow for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer Paras Yadav. Tata. Bye Bye. Good Night.
Sikandar Raza (Dambulla Aura Skipper): "I actually thought I was going to come to talk first as it feels like a loss. Proud feeling to get the win with many big players missing. The ball was sticking a bit. A couple of good shots and poor balls resulted in them scoring a very good total. I personally had a very average tournament. I'll look to learn from it and be an improved player going forward."
Kusal Mendis (Galle Gladiators Skipper): " It was a fantastic match. Fernando played well to bring us to 130 before we lost a couple of wickets, and the bowlers then did their jobs. In the previous three games, the bowlers had good performances. We have played against Colombo and won one game against them, hopefully, we can do better next year."
Matthew Forde (Player of the Match): "Actually at the fall of the first wicket, I didn't have my shoes on and the coach says get your pads on. For me, it was looking to hit the ball out of the park. Sri Lanka is a wonderful place and I love coming here. Not the best result as a team but I would like to thank the team and the coaches for giving me the chance."
Matthew Forde is named the Player of the Match.
Time for the post-match presentation.
We have four teams who have qualified for the playoffs. Kandy Falcons will lock horns against the Jaffna Kings in the first qualifier. Colombo Stars will take on Galle Gladiators in the Eliminator. Both games will be played on Wednesday at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Akshay | 10:34 PM IST: That’s the end of the game. Mixed feelings in the Dambulla Aura camp as they win the game by four wickets but get eliminated from the competition. They needed to chase down 130 in 11.1 overs which they failed to do as they fail to qualify for the playoffs. Galle Gladiators make it to the knockout stages of the competition despite suffering a loss tonight.

Dambulla Aura needed to chase down 130 in 11.1 overs to qualify for the playoffs. They didn’t have the best of starts to the chase as they lost Shevon Daniel on two in the very first over. Lasith Croospulle was dismissed by Thushara in the third over to claim his second scalp. Matthew Forde was promoted up the order and joined Jordan Cox. Both struggled for timing upfront but once they got their eye in, they teed off.

Forde played some scintillating strokes and kept the playoffs hopes alive. Cox also joined the party from the other end. Both hit some scintillating stokes but Cox departed on 34 in the 10th over. Forde tried hard and brought up his fifty but fell on 52. Sikandar Raza scored 17 but it wasn’t enough as they failed to chase down the total in 11.1 overs which resulted in them getting knocked out of the competition. Dambulla Aura chased down the total in the 15th over to win the game by four wickets but will be disappointed on not qualifying for the playoffs.

Earlier, the Galle Gladiators opted to bat first and the decisions backfired as they lost three wickets inside the powerplay. The top-order batters failed to adapt to the conditions as there was a collapse in the powerplay. Azam Khan along with Nuwanidu Fernando tried to resurrect the innings but the former fell on 15.

The Gladiators kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Fernando stood tall against the Dambulla Aura bowlers. He fought till the end and brought up his fifty. He smashed Sikandar Raza for 25 in the last over as he remained unbeaten on 63 off 42 balls to take his side to 129 at the end of their 20 overs. Dambulla Aura picked up eight wickets in total, with Matthew Forde stealing the show with figures of 4/11. Stick around for the post-match presentations.
14.2 I Wasim to S Jayathilake
6 SIX!! Jayathilake finishes it in style!!! Fuller ball on the middle and Jayathilake stands tall and lofts it straight over the bowler for a maximum. Dambulla AURA won by 4 wickets but failed to qualify for the playoffs as they needed to chase down this total in 11.1 overs which they failed to do.
14.1 I Wasim to L Madushanka
1lb Good length ball on the middle and Madushanka misses it and wears it on the pads for a leg bye single.
