Same we lost the wickets of our top order batters during the powerplay. If they do qualify, it's not the ideal route to advance to the playoffs, so we must play solid cricket. 11:03 PM IST | Deepak: The Kandy Falcons extended their winning streak with a dominant victory over the Dambulla AURA, winning by a whopping 39 runs.🙌

Earlier, the Kandy Falcons opted to bat first and put up a formidable score of 160 runs on the board. Ashen Bandara led the charge with an impressive 37 runs off 31 balls. However, the Dambulla AURA team fought back with strong performances from Kalana Perera, Dilum Sudeera, and Matthew Forde, who each took two wickets for their team.

In response to 160 runs, the Dambulla AURA didn’t get off to a good start as they lost Jordan Cox in the very first over. Shevon Daniel and Sikandar Raza tried to steady the ship, but Daniel was dismissed after scoring 8 runs off 10 balls, and in the very next ball, Bhanuka Rajapaksa went for an expensive drive and nicked it straight to the keeper. Oshane Thomas once again scalped back-to-back wickets. Skipper Dasun Shanaka too didn’t settle in the middle for a long time, as he too was trapped by Thomas in the seventh over.

Despite facing tough opposition, Sikandar Raza valiantly fought for the Dambulla team and departed after scoring 45 runs off 33 balls. The Dambulla AURA fell short of their target, finishing with 121 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, a deficit of 39 runs.

Oshane Thomas shone for the Kandy Falcons with a standout performance as a bowler, taking three wickets while only giving up 15 runs in 4 overs. Fabian Allen and Chamindu Wijesinghe also contributed to the team's victory with a couple of wickets each, and Zahoor Khan and Wanindu Hasaranga added to the win with one wicket each.
