Well that's all from us folks for today! This is Anirudh Modi, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Tugral Azmi, and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer! It was a pleasure to bring you this game live! We will see you on the next one!
Harshitha Madavi (Players of the Match): "I have just played my natural game, today I had a chance to do something for my team, so I took full advantage of that opportunity. As long as I was at the crease, I never put myself under pressure and kept rotating the strike so that the pressure would not increase on the team."
Harshitha Madavi is the Player of the Match!
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Captain): "Finally we won but as a top nation we are not playing to our potential, I'm not happy with our performance and we have to improve our batting. I'm really happy about the bowling performance, especially after the rain. Harshitha is our upcoming batter and I hope she will continue this type of form in the coming days."
Chaya Mughal (United Arab Emirates Women Captain): "I really glad about my bowling unit as they keep their lines throughout the innings and restrict the opposition under par score. But my bad, we were not able to show that good game with the bat, and the situation of the match changed due to rain, we may have been victims today."
Right then, time for the post-match presentation ceremony
AND SRI LANKA WOMEN HAVE COMPLETED A MIRACLE VICTORY HERE OVER THE UAE WOMEN! They defeat the middle eastern side by 11 runs after a run curtailed encounter. UAE Women will be massively disappointed to not take the victory in this match.

Sri Lanka Women won the toss and elected to bat first, the decision backfired immediately as the Lankans found themselves losing wickets at regular intervals. With UAE bowling some tight lines and lengths, runs were hard to come by too, Harshitha Madavi was the star with the bat as he gritty innings of 37 runs off 40 deliveries was the highest score of the innings.

Vaishnave Mahesh and Mahika Guar were the pick of the bowlers as both picked up 3 wickets each from their quota of overs. In the end, Sri Lanka Women posted a target of 110 runs for the UAE Women to chase down and register their first victory.

UAE Women started off in good fashion, before the rain decided to interrupt in the 4th over. Post the rain break, the target was revised to 66 runs from 11 overs (DLS) but the momentum never came back. The Lankan bowlers put the choke on and picked up wickets in a flurry to ensure the 2 points came their way. Dilhari and Ranaweera both picked up 2 wickets each to ensure victory for their team.

Only if the rain didn't interrupt, the UAE Women could have scripted history but never the less, a historic day for their country and for the team that took the field today! Sri Lanka Women will be ecstatic that they came away with the victory but they have to improve in all departments if they are looking to go deep in this tournament!

A minor run out check here, but the decision is too easy as the keeper had made sure that the ball has made contacts with the stumps! The 7th wicket falls!
10.1 M Shehani to S Dharnidharka
W+1 RUN-OUT! WICKETS ARE TUMBLING DOWN FOR UAE!! Another run-out appeal and the umpire goes upstairs. Drifting on the leg stump line. Samaira clips this to a deep fine leg region for a single. Easy single and turns back for the deadly second. Samaira sends her back but Mahika finds herself short of her ground and Dilhari whips the bails off. The Tv umpire has signaled it OUT.
