That’s it from Game 2 of the T20I series between the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh. This is Vatsal signing off alongside Ayan and our scorers/analysts Bishal and Manish. Do join us for more exciting fixtures across the globe. Until then, take care and goodbye from us.
Nurul Hasan collects the winning trophy and winner's cheque from Mr Zaheer Abbas. Now, the Bangladesh team can celebrate long into the night for a well-deserved series win. Lots of learnings for the home team UAE.
Nurul Hasan, Bangladesh Skipper: "I am feeling good. The whole team played and credit to the boys. The boys were keen to play well here. We are going to New Zealand and World Cup and this helps us a lot. Winning is a habit and it will hold us in good stead going to Australia for the World Cup and to New Zealand for the tri-series. Thanks to the Emirates Cricket Board for organizing this series in Dubai. We loved it here."
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is the Player of the Match.
CP Rizwan, UAE Skipper: "Unfortunately, it didn't go our way. The powerplay didn't go our way and we were plenty of runs short in the first six overs. They bowled well. they are a quality nation and it's a learning experience for all of us. We were trying to get a partnership. They bowled well and it's an eye-opener for the bowlers how to bowl here. They are a quality side. A couple of days later we go to Australia and hopefully, we do well there. Thanks to the crowd for coming out here. Thanks to the Emirates Cricket Board and Bangladesh Cricket Team for agreeing to come and play with us at such short notice. It means a lot to us."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
Robin Singh: "We played inexperienced cricket and showed where we lacked under pressure. Fielding is an area we need to work on because we didn't catch well and could have reduced them to under 150 in both games which would have been great. I think CP, Aayan, Karthik, and other pacers have done well and so there are positives for us. The conditions down under will be different and it will be early season out there. The warm-ups will be important. The middle order is a worry for us and we have got some positives here and there. The experience is lacking and this will be a learning experience for us. Hameed has promised us a lot. He batted well. CP batted well and those are the positives for us. Ahmad hasn't played and there are a few people we haven't seen them play. Lots of positives and work to do as well. "
Sridharan Sriram: "Yes, definitely. we asked for improvement and we got it today.  The conditions were better today and I think the boys did well in the first game and today as well. The plan was clear Fizz and Shoriful will play the first game and then Taskin and Ebadot the next game. We will rotate the pacers as we go forward. As far as preparations are concerned, we have a tri-series against New Zealand and Pakistan in New Zealand. Both teams are quality and we need to play well to do well there. "
23:00 IST| Bangladesh has comprehensively beaten UAE by 32 runs in the 2nd T20I and won the series 2-0.

Chasing 170, UAE got off to a poor start losing opener Chirag Suri for just 5. M Waseem played some fine shots and was dismissed for 18. Lakra and Aravind did not add much as UAE were 4 down for 29 in 6.4 overs. UAE Skipper CP Rizwan and Basil Hameed got together and added 90 for the 5th wicket. Hameed was eventually dismissed for 42 off 40 and Rizwan played throughout scoring an unbeaten 51 off 36 balls to get his side to 137 for 5 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh bowling was thoroughly professional with Mosaddek Hossain picking 2 for 8 in his 2 overs. Ebadot Hossain, Nasum, and Taskin Ahmed picked a wicket a piece to restrict the UAE side to 137.

Earlier in the day,
Bangladesh having put into Bat 1st got off to a decent start courtesy of Sabbir Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the duo scored 27 for the 1st wicket before Sabbir Rahman was dismissed for 12. Litton Das came in and played some wonderful shots all-around. Miraz and Litton added 41 for the 2nd wicket before losing Litton for 25. Afif came in and scored a quick-fire 18 off 10 before getting out to a juicy full-toss. Miraz anchored the innings well with a 37-ball 46 before getting dismissed by Sabir Ali. Mosaddek Hossain in the middle added 27 off 22 to the score. Yasir Ali played a handy cameo of unbeaten 21 of 13 and was well supported by skipper Nurul Hasan with 19* off 10 to get to 169.

The United Arab Emirates bowlers were tidy keeping Bangladesh's score in check. Aayan Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 33 in his 4-over spell. Sabir Ali was expensive but got a wicket. The spinners Aryan Lakra and Meiyappan were economical and picked a wicket each. Impressive performance by the UAE bowlers.

Bangladesh was on top throughout the game and got a commanding win.

Stay Tuned for the presentations.
