Chasing 170, UAE got off to a poor start losing opener Chirag Suri for just 5. M Waseem played some fine shots and was dismissed for 18. Lakra and Aravind did not add much as UAE were 4 down for 29 in 6.4 overs. UAE Skipper CP Rizwan and Basil Hameed got together and added 90 for the 5th wicket. Hameed was eventually dismissed for 42 off 40 and Rizwan played throughout scoring an unbeaten 51 off 36 balls to get his side to 137 for 5 in 20 overs.
Bangladesh
bowling was thoroughly professional with Mosaddek Hossain picking 2 for 8 in
his 2 overs. Ebadot Hossain, Nasum, and Taskin Ahmed picked a wicket a piece to restrict
the UAE side to 137.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh having put into Bat 1st got off to a decent start courtesy of Sabbir Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the
duo scored 27 for the 1st wicket before Sabbir
Rahman was dismissed for 12. Litton Das came in and played some wonderful shots
all-around. Miraz and Litton added 41 for the 2nd wicket
before losing Litton for 25. Afif came in and scored a quick-fire 18 off 10
before getting out to a juicy full-toss. Miraz anchored the innings well with a
37-ball 46 before getting dismissed by Sabir Ali. Mosaddek Hossain in the
middle added 27 off 22 to the score. Yasir Ali played a handy cameo of unbeaten
21 of 13 and was well supported by skipper Nurul Hasan with 19* off 10 to get
to 169.
The United Arab Emirates bowlers were tidy keeping Bangladesh's score in check. Aayan Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 33 in his 4-over spell. Sabir Ali was expensive but got a wicket. The spinners Aryan Lakra and Meiyappan were economical and picked a wicket each. Impressive performance by the UAE bowlers.
Bangladesh was on top throughout the game and got a commanding win.
