of cricket this has been right from the first ball itself. We have witnessed
fantastic performances from both sides. But in the end team, Northern won
this match by 3 runs.
It all gets started with team Northern winning the toss and deciding to bat first. This game was started a bit late due to the sand storm which occurred just a few moments before the toss. The northern batting line-up is not looked in a good touch today. They were just able to put up a below-par score of 129 runs in their 20 overs. But in the end, their bowling side led them to the victory podium. None of their batters were able to score a good amount of runs and to put their opposition under pressure, except the veteran all-rounder Sohail Tanvir who scored an unbeaten 40 runs in just 30 deliveries with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Because of his remarkable contribution in the end, team Northern posted this total on the board.
After this team, Southern Punjab came in for a chase. They started off on a high note with both their openers scoring 22 and 24 each. But soon after this their middle order faltered like anything and they lost 3 big wickets in one single over of Mumtaz only. From that point, the momentum got totally shifted into the Northern favor. Later on, Randhawa and Hasan Ali tried their best to chase this target down but just fell 3 runs short.
With this glorious victory, team Northern has managed to qualify for the Semi-finals.
