Player Bio

Born in Peshawar, Mohammad Ilyas is a right-arm medium pace bowler who plays for the Karachi Kings.

Having made his List-A debut for Peshawar in the 2018 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup, Ilyas’ stature has grown as a player.

The young pacer was roped in by Multan Sultans ahead of the 2019 Pakistan Super League, where he impressed everyone with his pace.

The fast bowler was drafted in the Belfast Titans squad for the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket, but the tournament got cancelled.

The speedster was a part of the Multan Sultans squad for the 2019 PSL, but ahead of the 2021 season, he was released by the franchise and Karachi Kings came calling for him.

Ilyas has the potential to be a match winner on his day. Consistency is the only factor missing from his bowling. If he is nurtured well, then Ilyas could spearhead Pakistan’s bowling attack for the next 10 years.
