That's it from our coverage of the 11th fixture of the Pakistan National T20 2022 between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Southern Punjab hosted by Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Megh Mandaliya here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. The rain has disappeared completely and we hope it stays the same for the second fixture of the day. Tune in for the 12th fixture between Balochistan and Northern, which will begin shortly. See you there!
Khalid Usman | Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Skipper: "We planned to restrict the opposition under 50. I was always telling the bowlers to hit the right areas. The bowlers have gained a lot of confidence with this win. Mohammad Imran Jr. also bowled brilliantly and conceded just a single in the last over. We will keep backing our strengths going ahead in the competition as we have six games left and will look to keep performing in a similar way."

Agha Salman | Southern Punjab Skipper: "It was a five-over game and it can be very unpredictable. We initially wanted a score above 50 but we were 10 short. In a short match like this, the mid-set is always aggressive and we tried to go from the word go. The bowl was gripping very well and it was tough to go straight down the ground"

Mohammad Imran Jr. | Player of the Match: "Thanks to the almighty for his performance. The ball was seaming a bit due to the conditions and we decided to take advantage of it. There was a good amount of pace on the wicket and we executed our plans perfectly."

Mohammad Imran Jr. is named the Player of the Match.
Time for the post-match presentation...

That concludes the 11th group fixture of Pakistan National T20 2022 between the Southern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a game that was severely influenced by rain, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came out victorious by 7 wickets and stays unbeaten in this tournament. This is their fourth victory on the trot and they completely trounced Southern Punjab today.

In the first innings, after winning the flip and electing to bat first, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa restricted Southern Punjab to just 41/4 in five overs. Zain Abbas and Sharoon Siraj started on an electrifying note for Southern Punjab as they secured 18 of the powerplay before Mohammad Imran got rid of Abbas 14 (8). Thereupon, the two run-outs of Siraj 11 (9) and Imran Randhawa 1 (3) completely changed the course of the game landing Khyber in a firm position. Mohammad Imran (1/13) and Imran Khan sr (1/12) both claimed a wicket each and stranded the Southern Punjab at 41. The Khyber bowlers bowled exceptionally in the first innings by mixing up the pace and decking the shorter length.

In pursuit of 42 in five overs, Sahibzada Farhan and Mohammad Haris gave Khyber a dominating start by orchestrating 13 of the first over. However, Southern Punjab shifted the momentum back by clinching three quick wickets. Mohammad Haris 5 (6)  was the first one down as Sameen Gul beats him with short-of-length delivery, soon followed by the wicket of his opening companion Farhan 2(4). The Southern Punjab bowlers bowled their hearts out and constantly ticked the shorter length. Mohammad Ilyas attained the most scalps and finished his stint on 2/14. Similarly, Sameen Gul also attained a scalp and finished his figures on 1/15.
Southern Punjab almost got this game home before the pyrotechnics of  Aamer Azmat 14 (10) and Adil Amin 7 (4) handed Khyber a comprehensive victory. Stay Tuned for the post-match presentation!

4.3 M Ilyas to A Amin
6 SIXXX!!! Adil Amin finishes things in style. Ilyas bowls it short on the stumps, Amin sits back and pulls it hard over the square leg fence for a biggie. That made a cracking sound off the bat and it was six the moment it left the bat. With this, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Southern Punjab by seven wickets to stay unbeaten in this year's competition.
4.2 M Ilyas to A Azmat
1 In the air and safe. Shorter in length around off, Azmat makes room and slices it over point. Majid from third man runs in but fails to get under it. A single taken.
4.1 M Ilyas to A Amin
1lb Length delivery on leg, Amin shuffles across the stumps and looks to whip it into the leg side but misses and wears it high on the front pad. The ball rolls to the side of the pitch and the batters steal a leg bye.
Good running from both batters. 6 required from the last over. The Khyber is just one hit away. Can Ilyas defend 6 off the last over?

3.6 S Gul to A Azmat
2 On a length on the stumps, Azmat hits it to the left of deep mid wicket and calls for two. Amin was struggling in the end and had to dive full length as the throw from the deep comes in but Gul fails to collect it cleanly. A clean pick up from Gul and Amin was a goner. A brace to end the over.
3.5 S Gul to A Azmat
0 Gul follows up a leg cutter outside off, Azmat looks to slog it into the leg side but misses. Excellent change of pace from Gul. He needs to finish this over well.
This will ease a lot of pressure on the batters. Just 8 require now from 8.
3.4 S Gul to A Azmat
6 SIXXX!!!! Azmat clears the fence. A much-needed one for Khyber. Gul bowls it right in the slot on the stumps, Azmat takes his front leg out of the way and heaves it over the fence in the leg side for a maximum. The required run rate is down to six now.
3.3 S Gul to A Amin
1 Amin shuffles across the stumps and guides the length delivery down the third man region for a single.
3.2 S Gul to A Amin
0 On a length outside off, Amin goes for the cut through the off side but misses. Dot ball.
