End of a really exciting game at the end of which Bengaluru Blasters steal a 2-run victory!! Chasing 172 for victory, Hubli Tigers got off to a quick start as Luvnith Sisodia came up with a flurry of boundaries. However, Sisodia got out in the 4th over as Santokh Singh got his first scalp! Thereafter, BU Shiva Kumar batted steadily while the aggressive Mohammad Taha went after the Bengaluru Blasters' bowling attack. Shiva Kumar eventually got out in the 7th over albeit in controversial fashion as he was strangled down the leg-side. J Suchith and the Blasters' keeper managed to get the umpire to raise his finger but Shiva Kumar stood shell-shocked.
Hubli Tigers had another small partnership as Liyan came in and complemented Taha who kept the scoring rate in check with some lusty blows. The game changed it's direction once again as Liyan holed out to deep mid-wicket off Suchith's bowling in the 12th over. Suchith continued to play a game-changing role as he castled Naveen MG in the 14th over. At the other end, Taha continued on his rollicking path as the Blasters' bowlers had no answer to his brutal hits. Just when it looked like the chase was in control for Hubli, T Pradeep took a stunning return catch to send back Taha. This wicket was also 50-50 as Pradeep delivered a big full-toss which was deemed below waist height as Taha was down the track.
Hubli Tigers' still stayed in the game as Abhimanyu Mithun and Tushar Singh managed to take 13 runs off the 18th over. There was more twists in the game as Mithun got run-out off the final delivery in the 19th over. Requiring 15 off the last six balls, Tushar Singh reduced the equation to 5 off 3 balls. However, Santokh Singh held his nerve as he made Tushar miscue a big shot towards long-off. After a single off the fifth delivery, Hubli needed a boundary to win but Swapnil Yelave could only eke out one run as Bengaluru got a two-run victory in their bag!
