That's a wrap from our side as well. The Hurricanes crushed the Stars by 38 runs.🏆 We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Ninad Dixit and Scorer/Analyst Manish Bishnoi, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the second game of today's WBBL where Sydney Sixers will cross swords against Brisbane Heat. ✌✌
12:26 PM IST | Deepak: The Stars defeated the Hurricanes by four wickets a day before, and today they exacted revenge by thrashing the Stars by 38 runs.🎯

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, the Hurricanes scored 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. It was Mignon du Preez, with an unbeaten 50 runs off 48 balls, who helped the Hurricanes cross 150-runs total. On the other hand, Alice Capsey was the pick of the bowlers for the Stars as she scalped a couple of wickets, giving away 14 runs in three overs. Annabel Sutherland also picked up a couple of wickets, giving away 35 runs in 4 overs.

In response to 152 runs, the Stars didn’t get the start they wanted as they lost Bess Heath in the very first over of the inning. Bess Heath departed without opening her account. Alice Capsey joined Lauren Winfield-Hill at number three, and the pair started scoring at a brisk pace. The pair added 56 runs for the second wicket after Alice Capsey was dismissed after scoring 38 runs off 26 balls and was soon joined by Lauren Winfield-Hill who departed after scoring 22 runs off 31 balls.

The Stars kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were able to score only 114 runs for the loss of six wickets.

On the flip side, Hayley Jensen picked up a couple of wickets for the Hurricanes. Maisy Gibson, Ruth Johnston, Nicola Carey, and Amy Smith shared one wicket each.
