Well that's it for today folks! This is Anirudh Modi, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer! It was our pleasure to bring you all the action LIVE! See you on the next one!
Ashleigh Gardner (Player of the Match): "It's a quality performance. We want to win. It was unfortunate to get a washout in the last game and now to get a win is good. We are a solid unit and I am happy with the ball. Before I was just an option, now it's my primary skill, and hope to do well. With the bat, I want to be consistent, and not throw my wicket away. I was disappointed to throw my wicket away. Hopefully, I won't do that in the coming games. Really happy to contribute to the team's cause and looking forward to the game against the Scorchers tomorrow."
SYDNEY SIXERS WOMEN HAVE DEFEATED A HAPLESS MELBOURNE STARS SIDE BY 45 RUNS! A dominant victory for the side in pink to continue their good form in the tournament!

Melbourne Stars Women won the toss and elected to field first, after picking up Bates early in the first over, the Sixers batters turned the screws tight as all batters chipped in with valuable scores to take their team to 160/9 from their 20 overs. Alyssa Healy top scored with 31 runs off 28 deliveries.

Garth was the pick of the bowlers as the pacer managed to pick up 2/9 from 3 overs while Moloney, Sutherland and Day all chipped in with wickets.

Come the chase, things went downhill for Melbourne Stars from the very start. Perry got rid of Winfield off the 3rd delivery of the first over and while Rodrigues and Capsey tried their best, Melbourne Stars Women were reeling at 30/3 after 6.2 overs.

The batting order ultimately collapsed as Gardner spun her web around the batters to pick up 4/27 from her quota of 4 overs while Cheatle picked up 2/19 from her 3 overs to bury the Melbourne Stars Women under scoreboard pressure.

In the end, the Sixers completed a dominant victory over the Stars, who will go back to the drawing board to figure out what went wrong today!
19.2 E Burns to S Reid
W WICKET! Tosses it up here, Reid takes it on and gets the height and not the distance as Perry at long-on settles underneath it and takes the catch comfortably. Reid departs for 13 off 16 balls as the Stars have been bowled out for 115 in 19.2 overs. The Sixers win this by 45 runs to go top of the points table.
19.1 E Burns to S Reid
4 FOUR!  Flights it outside off, Reid drives it through the covers as the ball races away to the cover fence in no time. There is some joy for the Stars at the backend of the game.

4 FOUR! Fuller length here, Day plays the reverse sweep and connects it beautifully. She times it well and gets it into the gap between the slip and the third man region as the ball goes away to the fence like a rocket.
