Well that's all for today folks! This is Anirudh Modi, signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee, and our reliable scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal! Happy Diwali to all our viewers and we will see you on the next one!
Amanda Jade Wellington has been awarded the Player of the Match Award for her sensational 5/8 in 3.5 overs.
AND WITH THAT ADELAIDE STRIKERS WOMEN COMPLETE A COMPREHENSIVE VICTORY! They defeat a hapless Melbourne Renegades Women by 8 wickets to end their treacherous form in this campaign!

Melbourne Renegades Women were the first team to bat but it was an innings filled with poor shot selection and run rate. The top 4 combined to score just 20 runs as they were left reeling at 22/4 after 6.1 overs. There was a slight hope in the middle as Leeson and Webb combined to stitch together a 51 run stand which was enough to just power the Renegades over the 100 run-mark.

Wellington was the pick of the bowlers for the Adelaide Strikers, as the leggie picked up 5/8 from her 3.5 overs bowled! 3 Wickets from 4 balls in the last over of the innings cemented her impact in this game.

Come the chase, the Adelaide Strikers Women never looked under pressure, as Deandra Dottin carried her bat through out the innings, scoring a fantastic unbeaten 55 runs off 55 balls to guide her team to victory. She was well supported by Laura Wolvaardt who scored 20 runs off 20 balls to ensure stability from the other end.

In the end it was too little and too easy for Adelaide Strikers Women, they claimed all the points and will be hoping to carry this momentum in the rest of the tournament. While, for the Melbourne Renegades Women, a look back at the drawing board should help them rediscover their best form!
