That's it from this match. India ends their tournament on a high by 101 runs with Virat Kohli roaring back into form. Join us tomorrow for the final Super 4 game between Sri Lanka and Pakistan which will be a dress rehearsal for the big final on Sunday. Do stay tuned for all the other cricketing action across the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Akshaya Krishna Polya, alongside scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay safe, happy, and cool, and until next time Goodnight and CHEERS!
Virat Kohli (Player of the Match): "Well, I mean really grateful for god for how the day went for me. As I said earlier, time away from the game helped me to a great extent. Time with the family, with Anushka as well. Those gave me the confidence, to be honest.

See, it was about keeping cool and following the process in each and every game. I am really happy with the way I played tonight. I got through my first hundred in this format. To be honest, I surprised myself to play the way I did throughout the innings.

When people say that the sixty's from you are the failures, it shocked me. You mean I am contributing to the team with fifty's, which are deemed as my failure. I am really grateful for god to giving me the strength to play and contribute to the team. It was good to be performing tonight. See, I am really grateful for the time that has set this standard and expects the same each and every night.

Not much of a change in the stance. Just that little bit with the back foot. Overall, it was me, batting with confidence.

I had to take away the ego and bat out there. I did it and now I am here. I was really grateful for all those who have seen me playing and set those high standards. Overall happy with my day with the bat. Will look to continue with the same as I think I have that timing back."

KL Rahul (Winning Captain): "Yes, I mean coming back after a big injury and surgery, I have realized that it's not easy to strike form straightaway. It was learning for me to come back and find the rhythm in the innings. Once, I found the middle of the bat, I started feeling well. Not really, I think when you first hit the first ball out of the ground, it feels good. After the Hong Kong game, I felt better. Then in the Pakistan game, I felt better and then got better today. Obviously, the result has been disappointing. We would have liked to reach the finals, as that was the aim. There are positives to take out and we have to sit back and reflect on where we went wrong. Losing is not ideal, but this wake-up call was needed for us as the bigger picture has always been the World Cup. So, it gives us an opportunity to work on the areas that we need to improve and take the positives that we got from this tournament."
Virat Kohli wins the Best Catch of the Match Award!
Mohammad Nabi (Losing Captain): "Yeah, it's a tough night again. It was a difficult night against Pakistan the previous night, the game was a nail-biter. Tonight, coming back again to play against India, was really tough. With the dehydration among the players due to the conditions here took a toll on us. But our players did well to get us through to this situation.

Yeah, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli started brilliantly and took the match away from us. Credit to them for this performance. Yeah, I will say this is a good tournament for us. Winning in the first round. But losing here didn't help us. To be honest, it was an overall good performance from the troop."
Here we are with the presentations!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: "Even I don't know how I got those many wickets. I think it was my day. I bowled on the right areas and got my rewards. You know that the white ball doesn't swing much. Tonight, it was moving both ways and I capitalized on it.

In the previous games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, it didn't really swing. That's where we couldn't get through the opponents. See, Deepak Chahar is coming off an injury. He will take time to get settled. Not sure whether he got the same amount of swing but as the days progress, he too, will get that ball moving.

Both games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka were nail-biters. We couldn't hold our nerves and that's where we lost. It was a great tournament. Obviously, disappointed not to get into the next round. But, happy with the performances tonight. Thank you."

A comprehensive win for India as they have outplayed Afghanistan by 101 runs to bow out of the tournament on a high. Afghanistan were jaded and tired and were out of it after the powerplay. A tough day for them, but India and Virat Kohli won't be complaining.

Chasing a huge total of 213 for an improbable win, Afghanistan were never really in it as they lost five wickets inside the powerplay to the class of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. They were 21-5 after the first six overs and that was the game. Ibrahim Zadran fought hard with his lone hand of 64* off 59 balls. Rashid Khan (15), and Mujeeb (18) got into double figures as the Afghans ended with 111-9 in 20 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with his third-best figures for India in T20IS. He had mind-blowing figures of 5-4 inside 4 overs as he bowled four straight overs early on. He has surpassed Yuzvendra Chahal as he has 84 wickets compared to Chahal's 83. The rest of the wickets were shared between Arshdeep Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Deepak Hooda as they had one wicket each to their name. Deepak Chahar, on the other hand, went wicketless but had a good workout out there. Even Dinesh Karthik was having fun as he bowled an over for 18 runs.

Earlier in the day, India put on a batting masterclass after being put into bat first by Mohammad Nabi. Stand-in skipper KL Rahul and Virat Kohli came out to bat and after playing themselves in the initial overs tore the hapless Afghanistan bowlers apart. It was a welcome return to form for the skipper as he scored 62 off 41 balls as put up 119 for the first wicket with Kohli. Surya Kumar Yadav came and went for 6 runs while Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 20 off 16 balls.

It was the Virat Kohli show under the lights in Dubai. He got to his maiden T20I hundred and his 71st international after a wait of almost three years. It was a glorious inning from King Kohli as he carried his bat for his unbeaten 122 off 61 balls with 12 fours and 6 sixes to his name. He put on an unbroken stand of 87 runs for the third wicket with Pant where Pant contributed a mere 20 runs.

Afghanistan bowlers were taken to the cleaners. Both the wickets went to Fareed Malik but he was tonked for 57 runs. Farooqi went the distance as he went for 51 runs. Mujeeb kept it tight for his 29 runs in 4 overs. Rashid went for 33 runs in 4 overs. It was a night to forget for the Afghan bowlers.

So, India wins by 101 runs to end the Super-4 campaign with a win and bow out of the tournament. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony that comes your way soon.

19.6 D Karthik to I Zadran
0 Good length delivery on the off. Zadran on the back foot punches it straight to the fielder at short extra covers. An expensive over by the Indian backup wicketkeeper, DK. But, it doesn't matter as India win this by 101 runs!
19.5 D Karthik to I Zadran
2 Full length delivery a shade outside the off. Zadran on the back foot punches it through the extra covers region for a couple.
19.4 D Karthik to I Zadran
2 Short and turning in onto the batter, who mistimes the pull down to vacant deep mid wicket for a couple.
19.3 D Karthik to I Zadran
6 SIXXXX!! Short delivery and again gets a treatment. It is on the middle stump line. The batter, Zadran clears his front leg and goes onto the back foot as he pulls it with his power to clear the long on boundary for a six. Back to back sixes here.
Probuddha: Wow!!!!!! Dinesh Karthik into the attack, but if Arshdeep was to bowl this over finally he would have enough run to defend comfortably.

19.2 D Karthik to I Zadran
6 SIXXX!!! That was smoked. Another one which is slower through the air and shorter as well. It is on the middle stump line. Zadran on the back foot pulls it well and clears the deep mid-wicket fence with ease as he collects a maximum here. Finally, Afghanistan cross the hundred-run mark.
19.1 D Karthik to I Zadran
2 Dinesh Karthik is here! WOW! Over the wicket. Short and down the leg side. The batter rocks back and pulls it down to backward square leg for a couple. He gets his fifty here.
