That's it from our coverage of the clash between Hobart Hurricanes and the Sydney Thunder. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer Bishal Mandal. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from over the globe.
Nathan Ellis is the Player of the Match.
11:18 AM IST: Tim David continues his domination at the Big Bash League with another half century as the Hobart Hurricanes get a not so comfortable victory against the Sydney Thunder in the 42nd match of the season.

Sydney Thunder won the toss and elected to bat first and got off to a bad start losing their openers inside the powerplay with superstar David Warner departing for a golden duck. Nathan Ellis (4/27) was the pick of the Hurricanes bowlers and also got a hattrick in the process with Patrick Dooley and Riley Meredith chipping in with 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

Oliver Davies top scored for the Thunder with 45 but had a bad day out in the field as he dropped at least 2 catches inside the circle as Hurricanes were also pegged back with 3 wickets in the powerplay with Daniel Sams bowling a terrific spell of 4/18 other bowlers going wicketless.

Skipper Matthew Wade who returned to the fold after missing the previous game scored 30 off 22 deliveries hitting 2 fours and a six added 79 runs with Tim David who played another top notch innings hitting 76 off 41 deliveries with 5 fours and 6 massive sixes.
16.1 N McAndrew to T David
6 SIXX!!! What a way to finish the match in favour of the Hurricanes by five wickets! Nathan McAndrew comes back into the attack from over the wicket. A low full toss around the off. David bends low and picks it up to pummel it over the mid-wicket fence for a massive six. This is David's highest score in the BBL as well.
