That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do join us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Tata. Bye Bye.
Chris Lynn has been awarded the player of the match for his scintillating innings of 69* (37).
05:24 PM IST | Akshay: That’s it. The Adelaide Strikers grab their fifth win of the competition. They beat the Melbourne Renegades by 20 runs and jump to the third spot in the points table. Their batters contributed heavily and posted a mammoth total before their bowlers stepped up to defend it successfully. With this, they continue their dominance at their home.

Chasing a mammoth 203, the Renegades didn’t have the best of the starts. They lost Marcus Harris on eight and Martin Guptill’s scratchy knock of 14 came to an end in the sixth over. Sam Harper played beautifully at the other end. Jonathan Wells and Harper led the recovery work for the Renegades in the middle overs.

Harper played some sensational strokes and brought up his fifty. He hit 3 fours and 4 maximums before departing on a 36-ball 63. Wells fell while trying to up the ante. Will Sutherland walked out to bat and hit some lusty blows. The target was well out of reach and his departure on 31 off 14 balls meant that the Renegades fell short by 20 runs. Matthew Critchley tried hard and scored 33* off 19 balls but it wasn’t enough. Matthew Short, Wes Agar and Ben Manenti picked up two wickets each for the Strikers as they defended the total successfully.

Earlier, the Strikers were asked to bat first. They got off to a flying start, thanks to their skipper Matthew Short. He played some beautiful strokes against the new ball and they were 47 for no loss at the end of the powerplay. Ruwantha Kellepotha dismissed both the Strikers’ openers in the seventh over and it helped the Renegades pull back things. Chris Lynn and Adam Hose started building the partnership for the hosts.

Adam Hose looked good but fell on 33. Colin de Grandhomme walked out to bat and he along with Lynn took on the Renegades’ bowlers. Both hit some outstanding strokes and helped them finish on a high. Lynn remained unbeaten on 69 off just 37 balls and was well-supported by Grandhomme (32 off 16 balls) as they posted a mammoth 202 on the board. The Renegades picked up four wickets in total, with Kellepotha finishing with two.

19.6 H Conway to R Kellepotha
0 THAT'S IT! A comprehensive victory for the Strikers. A perfect yorker from Conway wide of off stump, Kellepotha follows that and tries to dig that away but the ball just went past the outside edge for a dot. So, the Adelaide Strikers have thwarted the Renegades by 20 runs.
19.5 H Conway to M Critchley
1 Juicy full-toss angling into the middle, Critchley shuffles across and goes for a heave buts gets the inside edge to the pads that rolls to short third man for a single.
19.4 H Conway to M Critchley
2 Fuller delivery in the middle and off, Critchley uppishly chips that down the ground to scamper back for a quick couple.
19.3 H Conway to M Critchley
6 MAXIMUMM! A late blow from Critchley. Good length and in the middle, Critchley with quick hands hoicks that to deep mid-wicket as the ball sails over the fence easily for a six.
19.2 H Conway to M Critchley
2 Pitched up and slower in the middle, Critchley hangs back and goes for a big heave but gets beaten by the slow pace and gets the top edge that rolls just past the short covers for a couple.
19.1 H Conway to M Critchley
2 Overpitched and outside off, Critchley opens the face and slices that to the vacant area near deep extra covers for a couple.

18.6 W Agar to M Critchley
1 Much fuller and outside off Critchley leans forward and pushes that towards long-on for a single to end the over. 34 required from the last over.
18.5 W Agar to M Critchley
2 Good length and the pace was taken off again in the middle, Critchley hangs back and nudges that to long-on for a couple.
18.4 W Agar to R Kellepotha
1 Fuller and slower in the middle, Kellepotha opens the face early and chips that to long-on for a single.
18.3 W Agar to R Kellepotha
0 Excellent yorker outside off again, Kellepotha hunches down but fails to dig that out as the ball passes to keeper for a dot.
18.2 W Agar to W Sutherland
W WICKET! That would probably seal the game for the Strikers. Agar pushes the good length wide of off stump and takes that pace off, Will follows that but swats that straight to Short at extra covers. Will departs after a quickfire cameo of 31(14) and Renegades are in deep waters now.
