Thatโ€™s a wrap from our side as well. A perfect treat for cricket enthusiasts in the new year as it was raining boundaries and sixes at Gabba. We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Scorer/Analyst Manish Bishnoi, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.โœŒโœŒ
Josh Brown (Player of the Match): "Unbelievable. I am loving it. The atmosphere is incredible. Yes, they have always inspired me and got better as we go along.  Definitely Colin Munro. He has taught me a lot. He has taught me the mental aspect of the game. Hopefully, the arm and the ear. That will be Mum. She will take the Player of the Match award. This award is for her."
5:15 PM IST | Deepak: Oh dear, what an enthralling contest this has been for cricket enthusiasts.๐Ÿ‘€ A total of 433 runs were scored in 40 overs today, a number of swashbuckling innings from both sides, but remember the catch of Michael Neser who produced a miracle at the boundary was the match-winner for me.๐Ÿ™Œ Sydney Sixers thumped Brisbane Heat by 15 runs in an enthralling contest.

Earlier, after deciding to bat first in the first inning, the Brisbane Heat posted a mammoth 224/5 in 20 overs, which is also the Heatโ€™s highest total in the history of the BBL. A swashbuckling inning from Nathan McSweeney (84 off 51) and Josh Brown (62 off 23) has helped the Heat score a 224-run total. On the other hand, Ben Dwarshuis, Hayden Kerr, Sean Abbott, and Daniel Christian each contributed one wicket.

In pursuit of Heatโ€™s 224 runs, the Sixers got off to an electrifying start as their openers comes out all guns blazing. Josh Philippe and James Vince started scoring briskly from the very first over and the pair glued the partnership of 56 runs for the first wicket as their progress was halted when Josh Philippe departed for 27 runs off 13 balls in the fifth over.

Daniel Hughes joined James Vince in the middle, and the pair continued a similar approach to batting as they were scoring briskly but the pair was able to add 27 runs for the second wicket, Daniel Hughes departed for 17 runs off 10 balls. He was soon followed by James Vince, who departed after 41 runs off 24 balls.
A small collapse for the Sixers has put them back on the backfoot. Jordan Silk and Hayden Kerr took charge of batting in the middle and started scoring quickly, but they could not steady the ship as Hayden Kerr departed for 27 runs off 15 balls. Jordan Silk has almost snatched the victory from the Heat, but remember the name Michael Neser,๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ who produced a miracle at the boundary. Jordan Silk departs for 41 runs off 23 balls. The Sydney Sixers were bundled out for 209 runs and fell short by 15 runs.
On the flip side, Michael Neser was the pick of the bowlers for the Heat as he scalped three wickets giving away 41 runs in 4 overs. Mark Steketee, Matthew Kuhnemann, and Ross Whiteley chipped in with a couple of wickets each while, James Bazley contributed one wicket.
