Player Bio

A demolishing white-ball player, Ross Whiteley is an all-rounder for Worcestershire and has been dominating the limited-overs format in England for over 10 years.

Whiteley graduated through the Derbyshire youth system and was given his first opportunity in 2008 in professional cricket. Although he had to wait a few years to make his first-class debut in 2011, he was the talisman in leading his side to the first division cricket scoring a couple of centuries in his debut season.

After falling out midway due to inconsistency from Derbyshire’s squad in the 2013 season, he decided to pen down a three-year contract with Worcestershire. He reminded his former club of his reminiscence when he struck a brilliant 84 in 38 balls in the T20 Blast quarter-finals in 2014.

Ross Whiteley struck six sixes in an over against Yorkshire’s spinner Karl Carver in an English T20 match in July 2017 to join a select group who’ve performed the feat in senior cricket. His 26 ball 65 made him an international sensation overnight.

Whiteley who has featured in various franchise cricket over the years playing in Bangladesh Premier League and Pakistan Super League, signed a contract extension which will see the 32-year old at Worcestershire till the end of 2021.
