That also wraps up our coverage of the  7th fixture of the Big Bash League between Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunder from Docklands Stadium, Melbourne. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Megh Mandaliya here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee, and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Join us tomorrow for the 8th BBL fixture between Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers. See you there!
Aaron Finch (Player of the Match): "It was good fun. We took it too close and deep and got lucky. The idea was to hit one six and we got a full toss and then along the ground to win it for us. I played the ball to the merit and then did my job. It's all about executing the deliveries and doing your best. I love this venue and I guess this venue can be used for international games. I am happy to contribute. Don't worry about your own game and helping the youngsters do well in this format. I am enjoying myself and I love playing here."
Aaron Finch has been awarded the Player of the Match.
5:10 PM IST |  In what was a cliffhanger of a game here at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne Renegades have defeated Sydney Thunder by 4 wickets (1 ball left) and have conquered two games in a row. The Sydney Thunder, on the other hand, would be once again disheartened.

In pursuit of 175, Gurinder Sandhu cushioned an early breakthrough for Thunder as Sam Harper 0(3) departed in the third delivery of the innings. However, that was only calm before the storm as captain Nic Maddinson, alongside Jake Fraser McGurk went all guns blazing by aggregating 40 runs till the end of the powerplay.

When the left-right duo was turning the tide in favor of the Renegades, Daniel Sams got the breakthrough for Thunder as Fraser McGurk departed for 24(18). Aaron Finch, the next batter in, then joined forces with Maddinson and stitched a partnership of 49 runs before southpaw Maddinson perished for 39(28), including 2 fours and 3 maximums.

After the wicket of Andre Russell 7(7), one may have anticipated the game is done and dusted for the Renegades, but former captain Aaron Finch had other arrangements. The right-handed batter brought resurgence to the Renegades dug-out by chalking up 70(43), including 7 fours and 2 maximums under pressure, and got his team off the line.

Daniel Sams was the pick of the bowlers for Thunder as he attained three crucial scalps of Russell, Wells, and Fraser McGurk and finished his stint on 3/33.

Earlier in the day, t
he South African southpaw Rossouw went on to register his half-century before immediately throwing his wicket away to Kane Richardson. Nonetheless, his pyrotechnic innings of  53(38), including 3 fours and 4 maximums laid the foundation for Thunder's lower-middle order. Alex Ross registered a much-needed 39 (23) and he was accompanied by Oliver Davies 33(18) to post a hefty total of 174/6.

Despite being a touch expensive, Tom Rogers was the pick of the bowlers for the Renegades by claiming two crucial scalps and giving away 41 runs. Stick around for the post-match presentation!

19.1 G Sandhu to A Hosein
W WICKET! A perfect start to the over for Sandhu.  Fuller length angling away, Hosein looks to go inside out over covers and he miscues it up in the air. Davies settles underneath it and takes the catch. Hosein departs as the 6th one goes down now. 11 off 5 balls now needed.
A much-needed boundary to end the over. The Renegades now require 11 off the final over. On the bright side for Thunder, Hosein will face the first delivery.
