Milestone
That's it from this clash. The Amazon Warriors have zoomed up to 2nd in the points table with this win while TKR will finish at the bottom of the table. Royals and the Warriors are through while the Tallawahs and the Kings are virtually through. The Patriots are currently in 5th position and are virtually out of the competition. Do join us for the remaining two CPL games. The Tallawahs and the Kings face off later tonight. Tomorrow morning the Royals and the Warriors will battle with the Warriors aiming to finish in the top-2 Royals with 16 points assured of finishing first. Do join us for all the other cricketing action across the glove on this Super Sunday.

For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Vatsal Negandhi and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Kieron Pollard, Trinbago Knight Riders Skipper: "I think it's the batting that has let us down. We have never scored over 160 and we deserve to be where we are. I think this is a great tournament. It's great for the budding cricketers and kudos to the organizers for this tournament. I am supporting cricket that's it. Another must-win game tomorrow and so all the best wishes to all the teams. It's a pity that we won't be there but we will chin up and hopefully come back stronger next game."
Shimron Hetmyer, Guyana Amazon Warriors Skipper: "Fantastic feeling. They were great and they showed passion out there. I have no words to explain my feelings. Gurbaz came and just hit the ground running. We have supported our teammates and he has helped us as well. Back-to-back fifties are great for us and for him. Yes, as you said big game tomorrow to get another two points. My message to the boys will be to carry on the good work and play the way they are playing. If they do that, then it's fine. We hope to get the win against the Royals tomorrow."
Shakib Al Hasan (Player of the Match): "Happy to contribute to the team. The first 2 games didn't do well for me. When we got 170, everyone believed we could win. Gurbaz has been performing magnificently. The way he's applied himself has been magnificent. His innings gave us a lot of confidence to us. Wasn't easy given the quality of spinners they have. The way Odean and Hetmyer finished gave us momentum to go well in the 2nd innings."
Time for Post Match presentation.
That's it then. Guyana Amazon Warriors have thrashed the 4-time champions Trinbago Knight Riders by 37 runs to qualify for the playoffs. TKR have been knocked out of the competition for the first time in the history of CPL before the playoffs. The defending champions St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots also bow out as well. It's a night to celebrate for the home team as they qualify for the playoffs.

Chasing a stiff target of 174 to keep their hopes alive, Trinbago Knight Riders never got going. Tim Seifert scored 13. Colin Munro scored 30 after being given reprieves twice. Samit Patel top-scored with 34 off 27 balls. Pollard scored a painstaking 13 off 16 balls. Andre Russell with his dodgy leg scored 12 off 8 balls. Narine scored a fighting 19 off 12 balls but by that time the game was as good as over. 9 extras were given by the home team as they were bowled out for 136 in exactly 20 overs.

It was a spin to win for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowlers with 3-20 in 4 overs. He was ably supported by Imran Tahir 2-31 in 4 overs as he is the leading wicket-taker for the  Warriors. Junior Sinclair got a couple of wickets in his 2-26 off 4 overs. Gudakesh Motie was miserly as he gave away 16 runs in 4 overs for his only wicket. A wicket to Odean Smith who went for plenty of runs in his couple of overs.

Earlier in the game, it was Trinbago Knight Riders' skipper who won the toss and opted to bowl first citing the dew factor. The hosts Guyana Amazon Warriors did not get off to the greatest of starts as they lost their opener Chandrapaul Hemraj for 4 and Shai Hope for 14 off 19 balls. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Shakib Al Hasan stitched a partnership of 60 runs for the 3rd wicket. Gurbaz held the innings together as he top-scored with 60 off 42 balls.

Shakib got back to batting form after registering ducks in the previous games. The Bangladesh skipper scored an invaluable 35 off 25 balls. Cameos from skipper Shimron Hetmyer (23 off 14), and Odean Smith (22*off 7) alongside 9 extras given by the TKR bowlers took the score to 173-6 after 20 overs.

Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers yet again as he had figures of 2-23 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Ravi Rampaul (1-52 off 4 overs), Samit Patel (1-23 in 3 overs), and Daryl Dupavillon (1-13 in 1 over). Akeal Hosein was economical but wicketless in his 4 overs none for 22 runs. Shaaron Lewis went for 38 runs in 4 overs. Apart from Narine, and Hosein nobody could keep the scoring rate down.

So, a comprehensive win for the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 37 runs to qualify for the playoffs. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way soon.

W WICKET!! GONE!! Lofted down the ground, hasn't got hold of it and it's been taken at long-on. The warriors win handsomely to qualify. Lewis departs for 1 as TKR are all out here for 136. Sinclair does the cartwheel to end up with 2 for 26 in his 4 overs.

W WICKETT!! BOWLED!! The Warriors are finishing this quickly. Floated up from round the wicket, Rampaul looks to slog through the on-side, he misses, and out goes the middle stump. Rampaul is gone for 1 as TKR loses their 9th. Sinclair gets his 1st one tonight.
So, there you go. 40 needed off 6 balls. TKR are bowing out alongside the defending champions Patriots. We can officially confirm the four teams for the playoffs after this remaining over.
