Player Bio

Daryn Dupavillon is a right-arm fast bowler who hails from Kwazulu-Natal province, having the ability to clock a speed of 140 plus with utmost ease.

The Durban-born has played for a number of teams in the South African domestic circuit and was a vital cog for almost all sides. The Dolphins cricketer made his first-class debut for his province against North West during the 2013-14 domestic season.

Dupavillon hogged the limelight during the 2014-15 Sunfoil Series. He was at his menacing best against the Knights as he picked up a staggering 8 wickets in a single match to rattle their batting lineup. He was too hot to handle as Dolphins defeated the Knights by a whopping 242 runs.

His talent was spotted by the South African selectors and he was given a chance to make his ODI debut against Australia in 2020. The speedster bowled 6 overs in the game and conceded just 21 runs and also took his maiden ODI wicket in the form of Aaron Finch.

In January 2021, Dupavillon was named in the South African Test squad to face Pakistan. However, he did not feature in any of the matches.

A bowler with tremendous potential, the pacers hard work paid off as the South African selectors decided to try him out in the upcoming ODI squad to face the visiting Netherlands side.
