That's all for today, this is Ishan signing off with my co-commentator Nikhil along with our scorer/analyst Chandan. See you all soon, bye-bye, take care.

Deepti Sharma: Our confidence was pretty good during the practice sessions before the game. The wicket seemed a little slow and we know the spin is our strength. Cross gave us a good start in the powerplay followed by Sneh Rana and the bowling unit as a whole. We planned as a team and gave smaller targets to every individual. We will look to get better as the tournament progresses.

Harmanpreet Kaur Is Player of the Match: When you drop catches then you can't plan against the batters of such quality. The way we started we had to finish well and we were able to set a decent enough total but as I said you have to field well. The conditions were the same throughout. If you keep giving easy runs, nothing can help you. Yesterday's win was a crucial one for us as in this game we have a lot of positives and a lot of areas to improve upon

Shafali Verma: We were waiting for the loose deliveries and whenever we got any we capitalized on them. We wanted to take the game as deep as possible. I never thought of a big score I just played every delivery on its merit as I have worked on my batting also I have a few more shots that I will try to execute in the next match.

18.44 IST: Ishan: What a chase this is from Velocity, after they invited Supernovas to bat first Velocity bowlers did a good job on restricting them to 150/5. Even that score was looking very difficult when Supernovas were down 3/18. But then a sensational captain's knock of Harmanpreet Kaur empowered them to the score of 150. In addition, they got an early breakthrough as well in form of Natthakan Chantham who got dismissed in the very second over of the innings.
However, then the other opener Shafali Verma took the charge and started counterattacking the bowlers to a significant extent. She smashed 51 off 33 and had almost made their victory a cakewalk. Though after Shafali got dismissed Supernovas had a chance to come back in the contest but their bleak hopes were shattered by the pair of Laura Wolvaardt(51*) and Velocity's skipper Deepti Sharma (24*) who stayed till the end to seal
the deal for Velocity. Deandra Dottin got two wickets for Supernovas while Pooja Vastrakar also chipped in with a one.

Velocity have registered the highest successful run chase in Women T20 Challengers to start their campaign. That was a comprehensive win for Velocity despite losing an early wicket. They are second in the points table with 2 points and a net run rate of +0.736 as Supernovas still have a better net run rate(0.912) than them.
NIKHIL: That's it here. Velocity has stood up to their reputation of being the firm favorites of this tournament as they chase down 150 with relative ease. For the very first time in this tournament, a target this big has been chased down and 2 batters from the same team had hit half-centuries.
