That's a wrap of our coverage of Game 2 between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan at the Harare Sports Club, with the visitors romping home to the win and winning the series. Do join us for the third and final ODI between these teams on Thursday at Harare and for all other cricketing action across the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off from the commentary box on behalf of Hitesh Peddurwar and Shantanu alongside our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Till next time we meet again, I bid you all adieu and Cheers! Stay well, stay safe and take care of yourself. Stay happy and cheers!
Ibrahim Zadran, Player of the Match: "I performed well thanks to the all mighty Allah. The wicket was good to bat on and I was happy to contribute. The partnership with Rahmat was special. I love batting with him and he makes my job a lot easier. I think the vibe at the camp is good. We have got 20 points and we will definitely aim to make it 30 points and 3-0 come Thursday morning."
Hashmatullah Shahidi(Winning Captain): "The team is playing very well I am very happy with that, Yes we are trying here to get all 30 points to get 10 more in the third ODI,I will think about the squad for the 3rd ODI we have 2 more days for it."
Craig Irvine(Losing Captain): "We always knew that the track would play slow initially and it was important to get the partnership which we did but couldn't carry on. I think today, 260-270 was par but getting 228 was never enough and it was too much to ask from our bowlers. There are positives to take out, the way Kaia played and then how we bowled initially was positive. We will try to give positive vibes and come out stronger in the next game."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
That's the end of the game. A thoroughly professional performance from Afghanistan as they thrash Zimbabwe by 8 wickets with 33 balls to spare. It was the Ibrahim Zadran-Rahmat Shah show as these two have helped the visitors romp home and take the series 2-0 with a game to spare. They win the series and garner 20 WSL points.

Chasing a modest total of 229 for the series win, Afghanistan lost Gurbaz early for 4 off 9 balls to Blessing Muzarabani when the score was 17 runs. But then it was one-way traffic as Zadran and Shah put on 194 for the second wicket and sealed the deal for the visitors. Shah got out for 88 after his 94 in the previous game. Shahidi was unbeaten on 1 while Zadran carried his bat with 120 off 141 balls with 16 fours and a six to his name.

Nothing much to ride home about the hosts' bowlers. A wicket each for Muzarabani and Tiripano, but as a whole, they looked listless, to say the least. They bowled a lot of wides and extra balls and some dropped catches meant they were never in the game with the ball.

Earlier in the day, Zimbabwe was put in to bat by Afghanistan and lost Chakabva early for a second-ball duck. Innocent Kaia was the star and shining light for Zimbabwe with his 63 off 74 balls with six fours and a six to his name. But he threw away his wicket at an inopportune time and that opened the floodgates for the Afghan bowlers to run through the middle and lower order. Craig Irvine looked good for his 32-off 46 balls. Wesley Madhevere contributed with 15 runs off 23 balls. Sikandar Raza contributed with his 40 off 57 balls as he got out at the wrong time. Zimbabwe was 150-3 after 35 overs, but they lost their way to be bundled out for 228 in 50 overs. That they got to 228 was due to an excellent batting performance from Ryan Burl 51 off 61 balls unbeaten while he lost his partners at regular intervals at the other end. Muzarabani did well to hang around for his 21-ball 9 runs.

From the Afghanistan bowlers' point of view, Fazalhaq Farooqi picked up a couple of wickets in his 8 overs 1 maiden 2-34. Fareed Ahmed Malik was the pick of the Afghan bowlers with his 10 overs 3-56. A couple of wickets for Mohammed Nabi in his 2-31 in 9 overs. He has six wickets in two matches so far. Rashid Khan started on an expensive note but finished with 2-56 in 4 overs. In a rare occurrence, Mujeeb finished wicketless in his six-over spell going for 24 runs. Omarzai also finished wicketless in his seven overs for 25 runs. But it didn't matter as Afghanistan romped home to victory.

So, Afghanistan wins by 8 wickets with 33 balls to spare to win the series 2-0 with a game to spare and garner 20 WSL points. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way soon.
