Milestone
That brings us to the end of our coverage for today. Another comprehensive performance from South Africa as they win by 44 runs and take the series 2-0. Till the next time, it's good night and goodbye from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentator Akshaya Krishna Polya along with our scorer Chandan.
David Miller collects the winner's trophy and poses for some photographs.
David Miller, South Africa skipper- "I am fit. I had a back spasm. Had to nurture it and was fit to go today. It's always a good problem to have going into the World Cup. Guys have stood up and have contributed whenever they can. It's really nice to contribute as a captain. I have seen different sorts of areas of the game as a captain with the bowlers we have. I enjoyed the challenge. The way we have played in the last 18 months has been phenomenal. We will be a force in the World Cup but saying that in T20 cricket we have to rise up on the day as we will be facing some great teams in the competition."
Andy Balbirnie, Ireland Captain: "Yeah, it wasn't as close as the scorecard suggests. If it was not for Barry McCarthy's cameo it would have been even worse. We have lost a few early wickets starting with myself, then Stirling and so on. We had kept things tighter till the halfway mark. Our spinners were doing well. But their finishers were too good as they took the attack back onto us. Being behind the eight-ball against a team like South Africa, it is difficult to win. We had a great summer playing against India, New Zealand and now South Africa. Now Afghanistan will come. They are a team that can be dangerous on any given day. It will be fun at the same time it will be a challenge for us as well. We haven't faced Afghanistan for around two years and it will be great summer to look forward to as an Irish player."
Reeza Hendricks- "Look I was eight short of a half-century, the guys played really well. Happy to have contributed and nice to get the win in the end. Trying to keep as simple as possible. I was trying to stick to my strength, not to complicate things. We are just focusing on the ball, playing as it is. Playing ball by ball and the end result will take care of itself."
Reeza Hendricks is the Player of the Series.
Wayne Parnell: "I think, I kept the things simple. It was about doing the basics right. I am happy to be doing the job for the team. I have done it through the normal process. Believe in the process and it will give you good heights. I kept believing in myself. It was a special moment to become the fastest ever South African to take the 50 T20I wickets. Here, each and every success of the individual is being celebrated by the whole team, It gives you confidence and keeps the environment well"
Wayne Parnell is the Player of the Match.
Time for the post-match ceremony.

Arya- It was the Irish skipper Andrew Balbirnie who won the toss and opted to bowl. It was some good bowling by the Irish new ball bowlers as they beat the outside edge on several occasions. Quinton de Kock had a torrid time but Reeza Hendricks managed to get quite a few boundaries away in the powerplay as South Africa was off to 38 in the first five overs. Quinton de Kock was eventually dismissed on 7 after struggling big time.

Hendricks also failed to time the ball as the ball stopped on the surface and the Irish bowlers were all over South Africa. The middle overs were exceptional for Ireland as they squeezed the South African run flow from the 5th over till the 10th over. The spinners were quite magnificent, Gareth Delany in particular. McBrine also bowled brilliantly till his 3rd over but was taken to the cleaners in his final over by Aiden Markram as he was smoked for 26 runs which provided the much-needed momentum to South Africa.

Delany again tilted the scales in Irelandโ€™s favour as he bagged the wicket of Reeza Hendricks and Makram in the same over which reduced the Proteas to 87/4 at the end of the 13th over. From there on, it was all South Africa until the final over. David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen took the Irish bowling apart as the runs started to flow for South Africa.

None of the bowlers were spared as Klaasen raced off to 39 of just 15 deliveries before his dismissal. Miller remained unbeaten on 34 of 20 deliveries as South Africa managed to score 182 in their 20 overs. Joshua Little was quite brilliant in the final over, conceding just 4 runs. Delany was the pick of the Irish bowlers finishing with figures of 2/24 in his 4 overs spell.

Arya- Ireland never really got going right from the word go. It was early wickets for Wayne Parnell as Andrew Balbirnie and Lorcan Tucker were dismissed in back-to-back deliveries which set the tone for the Proteas. Paul Stirling took the attack to the South African bowlers and struck some lusty blows to get them going. However, he was unsettled after a blow lower to his stomach and was eventually dismissed the very next ball.

Gareth Delany was dismissed by Tabraiz Shamsi in his very first over as Ireland was reduced to 40/4 in the 7th over. Harry Tector and Curtis Campher kept Ireland in the game with a good partnership. They managed to find the boundaries and Ireland was still in with a chance if they managed to slog hard in the final overs. However, the South African bowlers had other ideas as wickets kept falling in clusters after a 46 runs partnership and Ireland fell away like a pack of cards.

Barry McCarthy had some fun towards the end as he smashed a four and a six in the 16th over to give the Irish fans something to cheer. He went on to score 32 of 19 deliveries and shared a stand of 42 runs for the final wicket with Joshua Little to provide some sort of semblance to the Irish total. Wayne Parnell was exceptional with the ball for South Africa and finished with figures of 5/30 in his four overs spell.

Arya- A comprehensive win for South Africa in the end. They were tested early on with the bat but they came out with flying colours. Riding on sensational cameos from Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram and David Miller, South Africa posted a more than competitive 182 on the board which proved way too much for Ireland. They started off poorly losing two wickets but once Paul Stirling went, it was a downward slide for Ireland as they were eventually bowled out for 138 in the 19th over. Things could have been much worse for Ireland had it not been for the 42 runs last wicket partnership. Eventually South Africa were comfortable winners by 44 runs.
18.5 D Pretorius to B McCarthy
W And that's the end of the game. A slower delivery on a fuller length on the leg stump and McCarthy was deceived on this occasion. Was a bit early into the shot as he only manages to flick that straight down the throat of Aiden Markram at deep midwicket. The last wicket partnership yielded 42 runs for Ireland but it was all too little too late.
18.4 D Pretorius to J Little
1 On a good-length around middle. Little gets his front leg away and mistimes this down towards the silly mid-on area and takes a single.
Akshaya: AHH!!! All this time I was waiting to get the things done and dusted quickly. And adding to my agony Keshav Maharaj drops a sitter. While doing so, he has taken a blow onto his knee! Looks like he is in pain and the physio is looking after him.
18.3 D Pretorius to B McCarthy
1 That could be the end of the match. Oh No Keshav Maharaj has dropped a dolly of a catch. A slower delivery on the surface and McCarthy doesn't get the shot away. Gets it high on the bat and looked like a comfortable take for Maharaj. It dipped on him and it goes through his hands and hits Maharaj at the top of the thigh. That's a rare blemish in the field for South Africa.
18.2 D Pretorius to J Little
1 Fuller on the pads of Joshua Little. Following the batsman here and that has been nudged away towards dep square leg for a single.
18.1 D Pretorius to B McCarthy
1lb A fuller-length delivery angling into the right-hander. McCarthy comes down the track and tries to swing it away towards the on side. Trickles of his pads towards the short third man area and a single taken.
