That's it from the coverage from match 44 of the Indian Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ovaise Shariff and Akshaya Krishna and our scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more coverage from across the globe. Take care and stay safe. Good night.
Suryakumar Yadav (Player of the match): "I think it was really important for me to play till the end but my job was to take the team forward from where Rohit left. It was a good one from team's point of view. After losing so many games, it is good for the atmosphere. I enjoy batting at all the positions but I love batting at number 3 as I can assess the situation and I can play my game but I am flexible. This win spreads loads of positivity. In practice session we enjoy our company and don't think what's going to happen."
Rohit Sharma: "Our real potential came out today especially with the ball. With that batting line up I know that if we keep taking wickets, it will be tough for them. I am happy that it happened. This is the team we played in the first couple of games except few bowling changes. When you have a season like that, you are not sure about your combination. The conditions are different on all four grounds. Keeping all that in mind, we try and field the best combination. Yes it has not worked in the last eight games but we were not blown away by our oppositions. We had some close games and things would have been different if we won that game. It was a brave call to get Hritihik to bowl to Buttler, yes he got hit for sixes but his wicket helped us restrict them to 10-15 runs extra."
Suryakumar Yadav is the player of the match.
Ishan Kishan: "Yes, obviously happy to get two points. We were not winning the matches so far but we did it tonight. We batted well and chased it. Suryakumar and Tilak batted superbly to get us near to the target. I wanted to get boundaries in the powerplay and make the way easier for the coming batters. We want to win all of the remaining games but it will take some doing. This isn't been our best season but hopefully we can get some confidence by winning the remaining games."
Sanju Samson | Rajasthan Royals Captain: "I think we could have scored a few runs. The dew came and it was hard to bowl. We could have got a few more with the bat I guess would have helped. We changed the ball as well but dew was more. I think batting is the reason for this loss. This pitch was a two paced one and it was difficult to bat in the first innings. In the second it become easy to bat on. Yeah, as I said a few more runs would have helped us."
The Mumbai Indians finally get their first win and first points  on the table of this season! Rohit Sharma won the toss on his birthday and decided to send the Rajasthan Royals in to bat first. The Royals scored 158 for the loss of six wickets on the back of Jos Buttler's 67 off 52 deliveries which included four consecutive sixes against Hrithik Shokeen but he had the last laugh as he picked the orange cap holder in the same over.

Riley Meredith bowled a tidy spell and conceded just 24 runs picking a couple of wickets. Debutant Kumar Kartikeya bowled a tidy spell conceding only 19 runs for a wicket in the four overs.

The Mumbai Indians also didn't have the best start as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the powerplay. Ishan got a good start and scored 26 off 18. Suryakumar Yadav turned out to be the Mumbai based franchise's savior yet again as he scored 51 off 39 deliveries and added 81 runs for the third wicket with Tilak Varma (35 off 30).

Kieron Pollard didn't have an ideal day with the bat as he scored 10 off 14 balls and failed to finish the match. Tim David, playing ahead of Dewald Brevis scored a quickfire 20 off 9 deliveries inclusive of a couple of fours and a towering six. He finished the game with Daniel Sams who hit a six on his very first ball to take MI home.

R Ashwin bowled a tidy spell with lots of variations and picked the prized wicket of Rohit in his very first over and conceded just 21 runs off the four overs. Prasidh Krishna also had a good day in the field conceding 29. Trent Boult bowled only three overs and picked up a wicket alongside Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Sen. Sen had a good start to his spell and also picked up Pollard's wicket while trying to defend four runs off the final over. Daryl Mitchell had a poor outing as he conceded 20 runs off the only over he bowled.

Finally the Mumbai Indians are off the mark as they chase 159 in the final over and take the game home by four wickets. Rajasthan has 12 points to their name and are still at the second position on the points table. Stay tuned for the presentation and more coverage as we wind up the game.
Akshaya: Daniel Sams has the perfect start to his innings and a perfect end to the match!! He bangs it out of the park to get their first win. Mumbai Indians have broken their losing streak with a 5 wickets win over the Rajasthan Royals side.
19.2 K Sen to D Sams
6 SIXXXX!!! Sams wacks it first ball, moves across slight and thumps it over the deep mid wicket region. Sams you beauty, take a bow. It's not easy to come into a pressure cooker situation and smack it the way he did.  It was also a poor ball in the slot, without any change of pace, was literally asking to be hit!! Sams obliges and deposits it in the stands. FINALLY MUMBAI HAVE WON THEIR FIRST GAME THIS SEASON!!!

Has that been taken cleanly? Looks like though but the umpires have sent that upstairs. Daryl Mitchell's hands are well underneath the ball as the third umpire says keep rolling. Kuldeep Sen gets the big wicket!! Pollard is gone here. Kuldeep is giving a go at this match now. Mumbai need 4 from 5 balls.
19.1 K Sen to K Pollard
W OH NO!!! Pollard has given it away, was on the leg stump, was easy picking and on any other day he would have dispatched this outside yhe ground but on this occasion he hits it straight to the man position at deep fine leg. The third Umpire will check if the catch has been taken cleanly. Looks very very close, fingers are underneath the ball according to me. But it all depends on what the Third Umpire thinks about this one. OUTTTTTT!!!!! Pollard is shaking his head and making his way back to the dressing room. Throws his bat up in the air out of disguest!!! Mumbai have lost thir 5th wicket with 155 on the board and just 5 balls remaining in the game.
Kuldeep Sen to bowl the last over. Can he defend 4 in this final over?

18.6 P Krishna to K Pollard
1 Length delivery, Pollard pulls it away towards the mid-wicket fielder for a single to retain strike.
18.5 P Krishna to K Pollard
0 Short of good length delivery, Pollard keeps the ball away from danger, looks like he wants to take it to the last over. Good hard length bowled by Krishna, was slight short and Pollard pulls it straight to the short mid wicket fielder.
18.4 P Krishna to K Pollard
2 Slower off-cutter, way outside the off stump, Pollard stretches to reach towards the ball but hits it with the bottom of the bat, manages to pick up two as it fell in no man's land in the extra covers region.
18.3 P Krishna to K Pollard
2 Full length delivery, Pollard gets a thick outside edge of the bat but the ball runs through very quickly on this lighting fast outfield. Parag does well to stop two runs.
