That brings us to the end of our coverage for the 41st match of the competition. Join us again tomorrow for another fascinating clash. Till then, it's ta-ta and goodnight from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentators Akshaya Krishna Polya, Ninaad Dixit along with our scorer/statistician Paras Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav is the Man of the Match- "I have become a better bowler. Have becoming mentally strong. If you fail in life you start to think about that how can you improve. I have become mentally strong and I don't fear about failures now. The wicket was nice and the wicket of Russell I enjoyed a lot as I set him up. Bowled around the wicket and after two dot balls I knew that he could step down the track. This has been a better season and I have been enjoying my bowling. I stick to my strengths. I went for runs in the previous match but haave persisted with the same lengths and have kept backing my strengths. If you get wickets early, it gives you enough confidence. I thought the ball went down but when Rishabh appealed I thought we have got him. (the catch of Shreyas Iyer). Credit goes to Rishabh for the catch. There is no competiton with Chahal (on his friendship with Yuzvendra Chahal). He is like my big brother. He used to call me when I was down and out and got injured. He has always encouraged me and I always want good things for Chahal so there is no competition whatsoever."
Rishabh Pant | Delhi Capitals Skipper: "Obviously we lost too many wickets but at the same time we needed to take the game deep. We knew if we take it deep we can cross the line. Haven't thought about the team change but once Khaleel is back we will be hundred percent. Was watching the ball till the end and actually that was one of the best catches throughout the season. Most of the time we thought of giving Rovman a specific number of overs. Hopefully we are not thinking too much of the points table. Just trying to give hundred percent and win more matches. We can be more clearer with our plans. One or two extra boundaries can make a huge difference and we are working in that. We thought of giving Kuldeep from the other end. But the ball was wet so I got the fast bowlers in. It didn't work in our favour but it's part and parcel of the game."
David Warner wins the Rup Pay on the Go 4s of the Match Award for smashing 8 fours.
Harshit Rana wins the Swiggy Instamart Fastest Delivery of the Match Award for clocking 144.4 kph.
Kuldeep Yadav is also the Most Valuable Asset of the Match.
Chetan Sakariya is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match for his spell of 1/6 in the two overs of the powerplay.
Nitish Rana wins the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award for hitting four sixes during his brilliant knock.
Kuldeep Yadav is the Dream11 Game Changer of the Match for acquiring 126 fantasy points.
Rovman Powell is the Punch Super Striker of the Match for his knock of 33 in just 16 deliveries and he was striking at 206.
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony with Harsha Bhogle.

Arya- This was never going to be a tall ask for the Delhi Capitals and they could have only stuttered if the KKR new ball bowlers got early wickets. The start was exactly what the doctor ordered for the two time champions as Prithvi Shaw was dismissed in the very first delivery of the innings. It was a full ball angling away and he just closed the face of the bat a bit early and it was a great return catch from Umesh Yadav.

David Warner then took on Umesh Yadav in the first over itself as he collected 11 runs to totally shift the momentum in DC’s favour. He looked in great shape and played some delightful shots straight up. Mitchell Marsh who came in at the fall of Prithvi Shaw’s wicket was dismissed by debutant Harshit Rana as a fuller-length delivery angling into Marsh was hit straight down the throat of the deep backward square leg fielder.

Warner kept on playing some good shots after he was joined by Lalit Yadav. The duo batted sensibly and never allowed the required rate to creep up. A partnership of 55 runs laid the platform for the finishing touch but three quick wickets in the middle phase of the innings put them on the backfoot. Umesh Yadav came back in his 2nd spell and bagged the prized wickets of David Warner and Rishabh Pant to reduce DC to 84/5 in the 12th over.

The required rate wasn’t very demanding and it needed some sensible batting from the rest of the batters to get their side over the finishing line. Axar Patel struck some beautiful shots in the 16th over of Andre Russell which resulted in the required rate dropping to just run a ball. Rovman Powell then took on the attack to Venkatesh Iyer in the 17th over which made the equation 16 required of the last three overs.

Powell managed to get the fours and sixes at important junctures which never really allowed KKR to have a say in the last three overs. Shreyas Iyer brought himself into the attack in the penultimate over and didn’t concede any run in the first four deliveries. Shardul gave the strike to Rovman Powell on the 5th delivery and the Caribbean big-hitter then finished off proceedings with a six over long-on.

Rovman Powell: "We were trying to finish it the first three balls of the over and unfortunately I have to finish it. The wicket was good, I trusted myself and the wicket and took six-seven balls to settle down and didn't take any risk. Once we got to 40-50 in the powerplay and didn't give away any wickets after that, we were set for the chase. We keep trusting on our players, on our training before the game. Lot of the bases have been covered. This is a very good team and the team Ricky and the captain has put out on the field is a very competitive one."
Shreyas Iyer | Kolkata Knight Riders Skipper: "We started really slow up at the top. It was stopping a bit. We couldn't post enough total on the board. Our opening combination is not at all working. We have made many chopping and changes at the top. We need to go back at the discussion room and think what has gone wrong for us. We need to stop thinking and let them play their own natural game. If they fail then also it's fine but they have to be positive in their approach. Umesh made a strong comeback after going for 11 runs in the first over. He is giving me the moments to cherish in every game whenever I give him the ball."
Arya- An emphatic victory for the Delhi Capitals as they ease past Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets and with an over to spare. There was a bit of a hiccup in the middle overs as DC lost three quick wickets which halted their progress a bit. However Rovman Powell showed why the team management has persisted with him and played a brilliant knock of 33 of 16 runs to take his side over the line.

6 Rovman Powell smashes this out of the ground and seals the deal for the Delhi Capitals. In the end DC just too good for KKR. For KKR, this is their 5th loss in a row. In the slot on the stumps and that has been smoked away downtown and it goes well over the long-on fence.
18.5 S Iyer to S Thakur
1 Dabs away the length delivery off side for a single.
18.4 S Iyer to S Thakur
0 Fuller-length on the stumps and that has been worked away again straight to the short midwicket fielder. Four dot balls in a row. Shreyas Iyer where have you been?
