That brings us to the end of our coverage for today. Till the next time, it's ta-ta and goodnight from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentators Ninaad Dixit and Akshaya Krishna Polya and our scorer/statistician Paras Yadav.
Riyan Parag | Man of the Match: "A little bit of satisfaction. The faith they have shown in me, I want to pay them back. I love pressure basically. I always try to express myself and showcase my abilities. During the time out Sanga came out and we agreed that 140 would be a good score. We worked that out and eventually reach there. I was trying target Hasaranga but we lost wickets so I had to curb my instincts and then take on Harshal Patel. I keep it simple while taking catches."
Sanju Samson| Rajasthan Royals Skipper: "Really great win. When we look at the start, it looked a bit dicey. We have been backing Riyan Parag from the last three four years. He came out and showed to the whole world today how explosive he can be. I felt we were 10-15 runs short. I think 150-160 was a really good score. It was a really something which we were waiting for. We are very happy that everyone had a great time i the middle. Almost everyone has put up a match-winning performance. I think the chat we had after the 1st innings. Some totals like this 140 and 150 is very challenging. We knew the amount of good bowlers we had we could put pressure on them with the score we had. I think the dressing room atmosphere is important. We do make a couple of changes but that's very important against certain oppositions. Someone like Karun Nair who had to sit out. We want transparency and clarity between the players. We wanted Daryl Mitchell today."
Ravichandran Ashwin wins the Rupay on the Go 4s of the Match Award.
Kuldeep Sen wins the Swiggy Instamart Fastest Delivery of the Match Award for clocking 146.9 kph.
Riyan Parag is the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match.
Mohammed Siraj is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match for his spell of 2/22 in the powerplay.
Riyan Parag wins the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award for smashing four sixes.
Kuldeep Sen wins the Dream11 Game Changer of the Match Award.
Riyan Parag is the Punch Super Striker of the Match for his knock of 56 of 31 deliveries.
Time for the presentation ceremony with Pommie Mbangwa.
Kuldeep Sen: "I am happy with today's performance. After my second match, I fell in the side of nets during the practice which is the reason why I wasn't playing in the last two games. I had a word with my skipper Sanju Samson who suggested me where to bowl and I executed them well. At the time of break we discussed about the unevenness in the pitch and hit hard lengths to get the wickets. Thank you."
Faf du Plessis | Royal Challengers Bangalore Skipper: "Yeah, I mean the pitch was similar to that of previous games. Bit of uneven bounce as well. Yeah, early wickets in the chase hurt us again. I think that dropped catch could be the difference. I think we gave 15-20 runs too many. Yea, the top order is a problem now. One of the top four should bat through if you need to win. We can't go into a shell now. We need to play together as a team and make a comeback now. He (Virat Kohli) is a great player. It is that time in his career where he is struggling. But he will comeback stronger."

Arya- Earlier in the day, it was RCB skipper Faf du Plessis who won the toss and put Rajasthan Royals in. Again Sanju Samson lost a toss and ended up on the winning side. They keep batting first and winning games. It was a great start from the RCB bowlers with Mohammed Siraj removing Devdutt Padikkal pretty early on. He missed the attempted flick and was struck plumb in front.

Ravichandran Ashwin was promoted up the order and he started off with two boundaries in the first two deliveries. He struck two more before departing to Mohammed Siraj. Jos Buttler who has been in scintillating form in this edition of the IPL had a rare off day as he couldn't quite time a hard-length delivery from Josh Hazlewood as he lobbed one straight to the mid-on fielder.

Sanju Samson struck some brilliant shots to get going but couldn’t quite carry as Hasaranga bagged his prized wicket. Rajasthan Royals Shimron Hetmyer early and that looked like the final nail in the coffin for them. However, Riyan Parag who was yet to come to his own in the tournament smashed an exceptional unbeaten 57 which took Rajasthan Royals to a competitive score of 144 runs.

He looked in exceptional touch right from the word go and started taking on the RCB bowlers head-on. He smashed 3 fours and 4 sixes during his match-winning knock and made sure that their bowlers had something to bowl at. In the end it was a comfortable victory for the Rajasthan Royals by 29 runs.

Arya- A comfortable victory for the Rajasthan Royals in the end. It was a top effort from all the bowlers as they managed to defend a below-par score of 144 with utmost ease in the end. Rajasthan Royals needed early wickets to take the challenge to the RCB batters. It was a great start from the RR pacers. Virat Kohli who is having the toughest time in his career couldnt score big again. He survived a close shape on nought and eventually a well-directed short delivery from Prasidh Krishna brought about his downfall. He went for the pull but ended up getting it from the cue end of the bat which carried to Riyam Parag at backward point.

Skipper Faf du Plessis started off well and struck 3 fours and a six during his knock of 23 before a hostile Kuldeep Sen removed him with a hard-length delivery. RCB kept losing wickets on regular intervals which never really allowed them to seize control of the match. Kuldeep removed Glenn Maxwell in the very next delivery with a back of a length away swinger outside off. Maxwell poked at that from the crease and ended up getting an outside edge straight down the throat of Devdutt Padikkal at first slip.

Ravichandran Ashwin bowled brilliantly in the middle overs and it was the duo of Ashwin and Chahal who squeezed the RCB middle order and never allowed them to set free. Ashwin bagged the wickets of Rajat Patidar and Suyash Prabhudessai while Kuldeep Sen kept bowling with hostility and managed to contain the RCB batters in the middle overs. Rajasthan Royals needed to chip away with the wickets as the target wasn't much. They kept piling the pressure on RCB and eventually the batters faltered big time.

Shahbaz Ahmed tried to resurrect the run-chase but couldn't quite get any flow to his innings. He was eventually dismissed on 17 of 27 deliveries which put a lot of pressure on the other batters. Wickets kept tumbling and it was always going to be a huge ask for the lower order to make a match out of it. Harshal Patel struck a maximum in the penultimate over but the target was way too much in the end. With this victory, Rajasthan Royals has gone to the top of the points table with six victories.

Arya: A convincing victory by 29 runs defending a score of 144 runs. A brilliant effort from the bowlers which ensures Rajasthan Royals continue their dominant run in the tournament. It was a day that belonged to Riyan Parag. After scoring a brilliant half-century, he took four catches and was cool as a cucumber in the field. Kuldeep Sen bowled brilliantly bagging four wickets to help RR clinch a comfortable victory by 29 runs.
19.3 K Sen to H Patel
W WICKETTT!!! Up in the air and it is Parag again. Fourth catch for the man who struck fifty earlier. Bangs it in short and on the off. Harshal on the back foot goes for a pull and miscues it to the man at long on. Parag there takes the easiest catch to hand RCB another defeat. RR have taken their revenge for the defeat in the reverse fixture. This is the lowest total defended in this year's IPL.
19.2 K Sen to H Patel
0 Back of a length delivery angling in on to the leg stump line. Harshal on the back foot opens his bat face as he dabs it down to backward point.
